Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question, giving reasons for competition—such as gaining experience, confidence and problem-solving ability—and for cooperation, including teamwork and workplace benefits. Your conclusion also indicates that both have value. However, the discussion remains general, and several points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the claim that cooperation reduces “competitional hate” is unclear, while the example about profits and bonuses is not developed. Your own position is also not fully clear; the conclusion lists benefits of both approaches without stating which you consider more important or how they should be balanced. Develop fewer points with specific explanations or examples, and state your view directly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the two sides. You also use signposts such as “To embark upon,” “On the flip side,” and “Moreover.” However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with short labels such as “First and foremost” followed by fragments rather than fully connected explanations. Some links are unclear—for example, “Therefore, cooperate at certain place is profitable” does not clearly follow from the preceding point about reducing competition. Improve cohesion by connecting each claim to its explanation and example, and use pronouns or linking phrases only when their reference is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “collaborative,” “independent,” “problem solver,” and “productive.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “competitional hate,” “gain confident,” and “cooperate at certain place.” Spelling and word-form errors are also noticeable, including “indiviuals,” “coopration,” and “competiton.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer natural combinations such as “build confidence,” “work collaboratively,” and “reduce hostility” rather than creating unfamiliar expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “If the person is getting cooprate at work and at scholl this will help them…” However, sentence patterns are limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “It is generally consider,” “both will be discuss,” and “the competition will helps.” Several statements are fragments, such as “First and foremost, Get fast results, confidence and experience,” and punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check verb agreement and passive forms. For example, use “It is generally considered” and “both will be discussed.”
