Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have different opinions on whether competition at workpalce, school and in everyday life enhance efficiency or cooperating in respective aspects provide better outcomes. While competition in any work assists a person to reach the peak, I believe cooperation in any work provides more perfection and yeilds success.
Competition at work possess a considerably unique ability to unlock one's inner qualities. It encourages the person to put more efforts to achieve the ultimate success. Similarlly, students study harder so that they can compete with each other. It is competition that encourages them to be more attentive and sincere. Following this, competation plays a crucial role in our daily lives as we all want to be the most successful. Not only in bigger phenomenon, competition lies in each simple activities in our lives. If we look at this more deeply, it cannot be denied that we are engaged in race just to arrive somewhere before anyone else. This proves that it is our innerselves boosting our willpower to work harder, so that we can outreach others.
However, the exact opposite action of competition is cooperating, which is a more practical solution to any challenges in my opinion. While competition increases selfishness, cooperating provides opportunities to learn new skills. Cooperation in any work can determine the drawbacks more effectively and provides more insights, which is missing in the work, where people just focus on personal benefits. Additionally, cooperation develops one's positive character traits such as adaptibility, resilience, responsibility etc.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that competition is required to achieve sucess, however I believe that cooperation in equivalently significant. In fact, without cooperation, alone competition can not ensure the success that we crave for.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for cooperation, especially in the opening and conclusion. The discussion of competition includes relevant points about effort at work and study, while the cooperation paragraph explains how shared work can reveal weaknesses and build personal qualities. This meets the task well, but the two views are not developed equally: the competition discussion relies heavily on general claims, and the example of racing to arrive somewhere does not clearly show its benefits. The cooperation points would also be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how collaboration leads to better results. More balanced development and support would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking expressions such as “However,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. Within paragraphs, ideas generally progress from a claim to an explanation. At times, though, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Following this” does not clearly link the point about students to the claim about daily life, and “Not only in bigger phenomenon” is difficult to interpret. The long sequence of claims in the competition paragraph would benefit from clearer grouping and more explicit links between examples and the main point. This would make progression smoother and cohesion less dependent on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “unlock one's inner qualities,” “personal benefits,” “drawbacks,” and “positive character traits.” These choices show an effort to express abstract ideas, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision. Examples include “competition in any work,” “provides more perfection,” “bigger phenomenon,” and “outreach others”; these make some ideas harder to understand. Spelling errors such as “workpalce,” “yeilds,” “Similarlly,” and “competation” also affect the impression of control. Aim for familiar, accurate collocations before reaching for unusual phrasing, and check spelling carefully. A more precise vocabulary range would help your ideas sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a concessive opening with “While” and structures such as “which is missing in the work.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and errors do not generally prevent understanding. Some grammatical problems remain, particularly with agreement and sentence construction. For example, “Competition at work possess” should use a singular verb, and “cooperation in equivalently significant” is missing a verb. The sentence beginning “Not only in bigger phenomenon” is also structurally unclear, while “alone competition can not ensure” has awkward word order. Continue practising accurate subject–verb agreement and complete clause structures, especially in longer sentences. This will improve control while preserving the range of structures you already attempt.
