Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both competition and cooperation, and your position—that cooperation is more beneficial—is stated in the introduction and repeated in the conclusion. The school example also gives some relevant support for competition, while the workplace example relates to cooperation. However, the ideas are often asserted rather than explained: for example, you say competition “brings our life accuracy” and cooperation “brings happiness,” but do not clarify how these outcomes occur. The discussion of each view is therefore limited, and the comparison between them is not fully developed. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms and consequences behind each claim, and make your own judgement more explicit about when competition or cooperation is most useful.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “on the one hand,” “on other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several points are joined without clear relationships. For instance, the competition paragraph moves from work to school routines and results, while the cooperation paragraph repeats the idea of good relationships and happiness. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “In addition” are used mechanically, and some references, including “it” in “it is build up good relationship,” are unclear. Group related points and use linking expressions to show cause, contrast, or example more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “relationship,” “achievement,” and “successful.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or collocation sometimes strains understanding. Examples include “competition at daily work,” “good behaviour with each others,” and “competition bring our life accurcy.” Several forms are also misspelled, such as “competitin,” “benficial,” and “happines.” These issues make it harder to express the intended ideas precisely, even though the general topic remains recognisable. Build a bank of natural phrases for discussing the topic, such as “foster teamwork,” “motivate people to improve,” and “achieve shared goals,” and check spelling and word forms when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the response uses basic structures to express a position, give examples, and draw a conclusion. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent grammatical errors that can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “cooperation is need our develop our individual life” has problems with verb form and sentence structure, while “a students should be competition” has errors in number and construction. Subject–verb agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “competition bring” and “a good relationship.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then add one supporting clause at a time. Review agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation before submitting.
