Student answer (Band 5.0)

well, there is competition in most of the actitvties in daily life, everyone wants to do better then the other peoples and this create a compititon. in this eassy, i write on the both taughts and will discuss my own believes.

firstly, its is true that many people believes in compition in the schools, work, and daily life beacuse have a compition extends the chances of better result and its motivate other ones to workhard, and to create a rivalry the companies and schools offer many rewards for the winner in the race.

futhermore, its is true that some of peoples rely on cooperating rather than battle in daily life. furthermore in the partnersip the chances of accurate task is maximum . In collabration its will help to fullfill the task in the given timelines

in my opinion , i personally believes in collabration neitther in the compititon, because i think that having battler in daily task in schools and at work demotivate weaks one. Also, in compition there is alot of risk in compliting the task with in the timeline and without any mistakes. so, in my views, partnership create chances of work to be accurate, and it's also help others to learn from the strong one.

lastly, having a battle motivate the others to get a reward. but some beleives in partnership in which i believes too, because in partnership risk of completing task accurate and in given timeline is too low. so we need to do our daily task in collabration to helpout the weak ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for cooperation, especially when you say that collaboration helps weaker people learn from stronger ones. You also give relevant reasons for competition, such as motivating people and encouraging companies or schools to offer rewards. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples, and the discussion of cooperation is repeated without being developed much further. The final paragraph also introduces competition again but does not clearly weigh its benefits against your preferred approach. To strengthen the response, explain how each approach affects outcomes in a particular setting and support your opinion with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate discussion of competition and cooperation, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “firstly,” “furthermore,” and “lastly” helps readers identify the stages of the argument. However, progression is limited because ideas are repeated, particularly the claims that competition motivates people and cooperation reduces risk and helps weaker people. Some links are unclear: “but some beleives in partnership” does not clearly connect to the preceding point, and the conclusion repeats earlier statements rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences and develop each paragraph around a distinct point, with references that make the relationship between ideas explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant terms, including “competition,” “cooperating,” “collaboration,” “rewards,” and “motivate,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often inaccurate in form or collocation, which sometimes makes the reader work to interpret your meaning. For example, “having a competition extends the chances of better result” and “having a battle in daily task” are not natural ways to express these ideas. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “actitvties,” “compititon,” and “collabration.” Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully; vary repeated terms only when the alternative fits the meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “in which.” This shows some effort to connect reasons and results. However, the range remains limited, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “everyone wants to do better then the other peoples and this create a compititon” has problems with comparison, number, and subject–verb agreement, while “some of peoples rely on cooperating” has an incorrect article pattern. Several sentences also run together or use punctuation inconsistently. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses and check agreement and sentence boundaries.
