Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this contemporary society competition at work hss become a considerable debate. While some people argue that rac at job,at learning institutation and in routine bases is a benefical aspect, other maintaint that we should understand more, thather than racing against each other. I firmly agree with both statments because these have some drawbacks and advantages.

On one hand, some people said that professional rivalry, race at education department or in normal life bases is a advantegous indicator because it take short time to done work ,to learn education at a specific time according to trends and other kind of affairs can be resolve at a time by doing competetion,For example if students prepare their exame by the racing of rheir friends, they search numerous type of stratigies by books, websites or by newspapers to clear the concept. Consequently, this type of struggle can enhnace the knowelde of students to improve the study skills.as a result, students can achive high grades at worldwide level. Similarly employments at work place can do this to achive promotions and in daily life we can easily complet our work at a time without wastng our timey.

In contrast, working with extensive hours and study to many hours can disturbed the menatl healt. For example if workes, learners or individuals at home work for longer hours to compete others they can lost thier mental helath of physical healt.so they needs to take work according to theri capability rathre than competting against each other. As a result they can easily do their worh with hard work.

In conclusion, both prespectives have their marits. Neverthless, I am of the openion that work with honesty can lead towrad the success or with good marks and promotions so that workers , students and individuals can do thier work without any competetion

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both competition and cooperation, and your position is that each has advantages and drawbacks. The example of students searching for strategies to improve their understanding gives some support to the benefits of competition, while the point about pressure affecting mental health introduces a relevant reason to cooperate. However, the response only partially develops the task: the cooperation side is mainly presented as avoiding excessive work, rather than explaining how people can achieve better results by working together. Your conclusion also shifts toward “work with honesty” and success, so your opinion about competition versus cooperation is not fully clear. Develop each view with a specific explanation and example, then state consistently which approach you favour and why.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On one hand” and “In contrast,” and a conclusion. These markers help readers identify the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several points are crowded into long sentences, and links such as “Consequently” and “as a result” sometimes repeat or connect ideas loosely. The first body paragraph moves from completing work quickly to students’ study strategies, grades, promotions, and daily tasks without clearly organising these examples. The conclusion introduces honesty without linking it to the discussion. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it before adding an example, and make references and transitions more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “professional rivalry,” “mental health,” “promotions,” and “capability.” However, the range is limited by repeated or imprecise wording, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “race at job,” “routine bases,” “advantegous indicator,” and “work with extensive hours.” Some phrases appear to be direct or inaccurate substitutions, such as “understand more” where the intended idea seems to be cooperation. Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully. Reusing a smaller set of natural expressions is more effective than attempting unfamiliar words inaccurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While” and a conditional example beginning “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries can make meaning hard to follow. For example, “it take short time to done work” has problems with the verb pattern and agreement, while “they can lost their mental health” uses an incorrect verb form. Several sentences run together, particularly in the first body paragraph, and punctuation around clauses is inconsistent. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “if.”
