Student answer (Band 6.0)
In modern era, in so many feilds compitetors and competitions both are increased. some people believe that do battle at work, at acadamic level and in daily routine is a very benefical, whereas others think that avoid competitions all the time with everyone, instead of do work with toghether. I believe that a cooperative approach is more benificial for societal progress, which I will be discuss in further paragraphs.
First and foremost, nowadays competitions is a very common phenomenon. Some people believe that contesting in every part is a acceptable, becuase of that competition person can understand their strong skills as well as their weekness, so they may improve their skill and feel more confident. For instance, in school teachers conduct weekly exams, so students can aware in which topics or subjects they want to improve and get a good result after completing their acadamic year. Moreover, if one company employees can do a great presentations comparing to other companies, as a result they get a big projects and a promotion from their own employers.
On the other hand, some times competitions make people feel nervous, and less confident because some people are not perform in a contest level, they feel pressurised and anxious, due to that their performance was not good at time. Additionally, some times competitions make a serious issues between the competetors. When people collaborate rather than compete, they can show diverse talents and solve complex situations that no single one can tackle. Such as the develeopment of COVID-19 vaccines and space explorations required cooperating work, rather than comepitions. In addition, a highly competitive atmosphere make toxic environment, anxious. Cooperations give people more safety, trustfull environment and emotional stability.
In conclusion, although competition can effectively good effort and praised to innovation, I firmly believe that cooperation is far more sustainable and impactfull rather than competition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for cooperation: “I believe that a cooperative approach is more beneficial for societal progress.” The discussion of competition includes relevant benefits, such as helping students identify areas to improve and potentially earning employees promotion. You also explain how competition can create anxiety and contrast it with collaboration, using vaccine development and space exploration as examples. This covers the task well, though some points are more developed than others: the workplace example is brief, and the benefits of cooperation are asserted more than explained. To strengthen the response, develop each main claim with a clearer explanation of how or why it occurs, and maintain your position consistently through the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting competition, a contrasting paragraph on cooperation, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “First and foremost,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. The ideas generally progress logically, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “due to that their performance was not good at time” does not clearly link the cause and result, while “Additionally” introduces another drawback without a precise relationship to the previous sentence. Improve cohesion by using more natural transitions and clear references, and organise the cooperation paragraph so each reason is developed in a distinct sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “societal progress,” “diverse talents,” “complex situations,” and “emotional stability.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. However, the range and control are limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word forms or collocations, such as “feilds,” “compitetors,” “a big projects,” and “cooperating work.” Some phrases also make the meaning difficult to interpret, including “do battle” and “contesting in every part.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocation carefully. Prefer precise, natural phrases such as “compete in different areas,” “identify strengths and weaknesses,” and “work collaboratively.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including clauses with “because,” “whereas,” and “when.” This gives the response some variety, and the main argument is usually understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “competitions is” should use a plural verb, “they may improve their skill” needs a plural noun, and “I will be discuss” has an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “some people are not perform” also needs a correctly formed verb. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, then check subject–verb agreement and verb forms before adding further complexity.
