Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that competition is essentail in every aspect especially at wrok, school, and everyday life. On the other hand, some of them are argued, that we should even more cooperate with each other, what can seems like valuing all indivisuals. From my perspective, competition build hunger to put extra efforts to achieve something, whereas cooperation is a kind work, which let people support and encourage in different situtation.
Firstly, it's proven by science, that anyone do there assign task with all their passioniate efforts, they can handle any difficult task with in constrant timings. Specifically talking about the job environment, competition may helpful to think versitile way that help to increase the technical skills, also employee get promoted by their performances, importantly they recieve more opportunities. It also impected on school life that uplift student IQ level as well as their grade marks. Additionally in daily life, it build confidence that help to face many challenges. For instence, my friend participate in coding competition, where I met many developers also have a chance to try my skillset and experience new technologies.
In contrast, some people argued about cooperation that alos boost your confidence and it's a way to teach or explain someone any skillset which make your skill more polished, in any aspect rather it's in businesses, student life, and everyday life, cooperation will be rewarded by your surroundings and specially by God, mainly show how society sharing culture. Such as once of my senior helps me to solve the complex database task, where I stuck for couple of hours.
In conclusion, on one hand, competition can build your confidence and IQ in every stage of life which is good thing for only yourself, on the other hand, cooperation can teach how we resolve others complecations, and motivate them of there work, so cooperation is rewarded my good deeds. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall preference for cooperation, especially in the conclusion. The discussion of competition includes relevant points about skills, promotion, confidence and a coding contest, while the database example supports cooperation. However, the two views are not developed equally: the competition paragraph lists several benefits, but the cooperation paragraph relies mainly on confidence, teaching and social values without explaining in detail how cooperation compares with competition at work, school and in daily life. The conclusion also introduces the idea that competition is good “only yourself,” which is not fully explained and makes your position less precise. Develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and make your final opinion consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “In contrast,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some links are mechanical, and connections within sentences are not always clear. For example, the opening shifts from competition to cooperation and then to your opinion in a crowded sentence, while “It also impacted on school life” does not clearly identify what “it” refers to. The conclusion’s “on one hand” and “on the other hand” repeats the comparison without clearly synthesising it. Use clearer topic sentences, make pronoun references explicit, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “technical skills,” “opportunities,” “confidence,” “complex database task,” and “skillset.” These choices show an effort to discuss work, education and personal development. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “essentail,” “versitile,” “impected,” and “complecations.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “build hunger,” “uplift student IQ level,” and “cooperation will be rewarded by your surroundings.” This limits precision and makes parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe competition as “motivating people to make greater efforts” rather than saying it “builds hunger.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “whereas,” “which,” and “that,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, there are some recurring errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “competition build” instead of “competition builds,” “anyone do there assign task” instead of a correctly formed clause, and “some of them are argued” where the passive construction is not appropriate. The sentence beginning “Specifically talking about the job environment” also contains several clauses joined without clear grammatical control. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and clause boundaries, and build complex sentences from a clear main clause before adding supporting information.
