Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people are facing alot of competitions on every field of life. However, some people believe, it is very benefical thing that we can do to compete in every aspects of life, while the other argue, that with mutual understanding we can gain more good results. In this easy, i will discuss both positive and negative side as well as give you my best opinion.
On the one side of view , some individuals have faith that if we do hard work to get high rank uopn other workers that are in our departments we can get alot of best benefits .By this i mean, if we compare our thing with others and if they have good qualities we can also get all these useful benefits just by working hard. For instance , if a student in the class or a professor in their work filed compare thier qualities with the best one in their filed , surely, it gives him motivation and he do more efforts to achieve high bands to get more prasies as well as good reviews from their department .
On the otherhand, some people completely refuse this view and say that, the mutual understanding as well as cooperation gives more benfits as comaprsion with compition.By this i mean if we we make groups and solve the problems by the help of each other as a results, we can easily and early get more positive outcomes. For example , If a student in the class get second position then instaed of making cometition if he takes the help of high achiver students to get more good scores ,it will leads to positive attitude as well as, he can easily get the points where he is lacking .
In my opinion , i am completely agree with the second views , beacuse if we do cooperation in different task the it will gives as more postive results by hepling each other and solving the problem .
To sum up , although there are alot of benefits of doing competition in every work places ,but with mutual understanding and solving problems as a groups will leads you a very best results as well as make task easy and fast .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for cooperation: “i am completely agree with the second views.” The competition paragraph explains how comparing performance can motivate people to work harder, while the cooperation paragraph gives a relevant example of a student seeking help from higher-achieving classmates. These points are on topic, but they are not developed equally: the benefits of cooperation are asserted more than explained, and the discussion of competition focuses mainly on motivation rather than considering possible drawbacks. The conclusion restates your position but does not add much reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of each approach in more detail and make the comparison between them more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the other hand” help readers follow the shift from competition to cooperation, and examples are placed with the relevant arguments. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. Repeated phrases such as “By this i mean” interrupt the flow, while “On the one side of view” is an awkward opening. Several sentences contain multiple ideas joined together, making the progression harder to follow. Use clearer topic sentences, vary your transitions, and divide long explanations into more focused sentences. This would make the organisation more consistently smooth and the relationships between ideas clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “mutual understanding,” “cooperation,” “motivation,” and “positive outcomes.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “high-achieving students.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “good,” “benefits,” and “results,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “high bands” for academic achievement and “best benefits.” Spelling errors such as “comaprsion,” “cometition,” and “achiver” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build a more precise set of topic-related expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will help you express ideas more naturally and accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if we make groups and solve the problems…” and clauses introduced by “while.” This shows some range, but control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “i am completely agree” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “it will leads” does not use the correct verb form after “will.” Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “as a results, we can easily and early get more positive outcomes.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, with missing spaces after full stops and commas placed awkwardly. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, modal verb patterns, and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for punctuation and capital letters.
