Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing but others believe that we should try to cooperste more rather than competing against each other and i strongly agree with this statement but in every sector cooperation is more imporatant inluding offices, homes, schools, universities and in all those places where people are working for their livelihood.
Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing because being in competeion with someone some people may ehance their perofomance might be they performance better. I think that healthy competetion is good but even at schools they boosts confidence of their childern to compete with your class topper so that they wanted to uplift their childern's brain. some times as they have habit of being in competetion they started to implement it in daily life routine i think that was harmful sometimes because it may lose your connections with your friends and family and instead of strengthen it may weakens your bonds.
On the other hand, some people believe that we should try to cooperate more rather than competing against each other. If we should start to have cooperation with each other in all the phases of life. We should may not face any hurdle in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear preference for cooperation, saying, “I strongly agree with this statement,” and you do discuss both competition and cooperation. The point that competition can improve performance, and the concern that it may weaken family and friendship bonds, are relevant. However, the discussion is brief and the cooperation side is especially underdeveloped: “We should may not face any hurdle in life” is not explained or supported with an example. The response contains 173 words, below the required 250; 48 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This leaves important parts of the task only partially addressed. Develop each view with a clear reason and a specific example, then explain your opinion more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a basic overall shape: an introduction, a paragraph about competition, and a final paragraph about cooperation. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within paragraphs, and the cooperation paragraph ends before its point is developed. Several sentences run together, particularly the opening sentence and the discussion of school competition, making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. The repeated use of “some people think” also makes the organisation feel repetitive. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your opinion, and connect each claim to its explanation or example with clear referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperation,” “performance,” “confidence,” and “connections.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “competition” and “cooperate.” Spelling errors such as “cooperste,” “imporatant,” and “childern” are noticeable, while phrases such as “being in competition with someone” and “uplift their children’s brain” are inaccurate or unnatural. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a wider set of accurate collocations for discussing benefits and drawbacks, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast between the benefits and drawbacks of competition. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation frequently affect clarity. For example, “some people may enhance their performance might they performance better” combines clauses incorrectly, while “they started to implement it” shifts tense and “it may lose your connections” has an unclear subject and verb pattern. The opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses using reliable patterns such as “because” or “although.” Check subject–verb agreement and keep verb tense consistent.
