Student answer (Band 5.0)
A group of people believe that competition in employment, at school and in daily routine is a beneficial. While others opine that they should try to cooperate more , instead of competing with each other. both the views will be discussed along with my opinion.
Discussing the former view, the primary reason is that if there would be competiton in each sector then only person will able to give there perfect potential. Explaining further, in every sector, let us understand one by one first one is work, in that if person will give more effort compare to another employee then it would be beneficial as the person is doing hardowork. As a result, it would get more incentives compare to the one who do less work. while in school, the one school which provide best education so this can become famous. by looking to this another school will also follow all rules and regulations same as that school. as a result, public would able to choose correct education system. while in daily routine people understand at where they are lacking.
Discssing the latter view, the first reason is that if there is competition and the person who does not get desired result then it dissatisfied. Explaining further, if there is competiton in this all sector, the one person who tries to do same thing but could not get satisified result. then it moral will down and lead to health.
in my opinion, its better to have competition in different sector. by this person know that where they are lacking and in which area it require improvement.
to conclude, the one person who will work effeciently and effectively will get more success compared to other. then other will also do same thing. but, if they did not get same result then they become anxious.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a preference for competition, so the response is relevant to the task. The workplace example links competition with effort and incentives, and the school example suggests that competition can encourage other schools to improve. However, the opposing view is only briefly explained: the claim that an unsuccessful person may feel dissatisfied and experience harm to their health needs a clearer explanation or example. Your opinion is also asserted rather than fully justified, and the conclusion introduces anxiety without resolving how you weigh the benefits against the drawbacks. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation and make your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “Discussing the former view” and “Discssing the latter view” help signal the topic of each section. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and the repeated “Explaining further” and “As a result” make the linking mechanical. The sequence “first one is work” followed by school and daily routine is difficult to follow, while the final paragraph repeats points from the body rather than drawing them together. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its main claim, and ensure pronouns such as “it” have an unmistakable reference.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “incentives,” and “rules and regulations,” which allows you to discuss the topic. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to understand. Examples include “give there perfect potential,” “it dissatisfied,” and “it moral will down.” There are also spelling errors such as “competiton,” “Discssing,” and “effeciently.” Aim to learn topic-related collocations and check word forms and spelling; for instance, describe people as “reach their full potential” and say that a result “is unsatisfactory.” This would make your ideas more precise and easier to read.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if there would be competition” and clauses beginning with “while.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “a beneficial” needs a noun or a different construction, “the one person who tries” does not agree with the surrounding plural references, and “then it moral will down” has an unclear grammatical structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly after full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses once the basic structure is secure.
