Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that the sense of being competitve in academic, workplace and daily life is a good thing to persue. Many people also believe that people should come forward to cooperate with each other rather than competing against. This essay will discuss both of the views in the light of my personal opinion.
Admittedly, having a competitive mindset is imperative for individuals to acquire success because being competitive will alert a person to be successful in life and to be a better version of themselves and being competitive also works to boost one's inner confidence and enrich the knowledge as it keeps themselves updated with each and evry moves of their opponent side.Furthermore, it also helps a student or employee to attain some skills such as knowledgable, expertise as well as punctual.Nevertheless, with the time being everyone is trying to win a competition and having a competitive mindset all the time.As a consequence, they are less likely to come forward for other's interest and less cooperate with themselves. We should try to be kind towards others.
From my perspective,i firmly stand with the latter view rather than the former view.Reasonably, people should be always ahead when it is the matter of kindness towards other people. For instance,if an employee or student is working in a new environment they are tend to feel less-confident and nervous on their day one.Now if they get some assistance in their activities they will feel more welcomed in the society as well as in their workplace or school and they will tend to perform better.Consequently,if we get the opportunity to come forward for others then they can feel more better and a sense of belongingness into our society and can comprehend in a better way.
In conclusion,i believe that if we get the opportunity to come forward in others help then we should

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion: the first body paragraph explains how competition may encourage success, confidence and skill development, while the next presents cooperation as a source of support and belonging. Your position is also stated clearly in “I firmly stand with the latter view.” However, the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits of competition are listed rather than illustrated, and the cooperation example focuses mainly on helping newcomers, without explaining how cooperation compares with competition more broadly. The conclusion begins to restate your view but ends unfinished, so the response does not provide a complete final summary. Develop each main reason with a specific example and complete the conclusion to make the response more fully address the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to discussion of competition, then cooperation, and finally a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Nevertheless,” and “For instance” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph shifts from competition’s benefits to its drawbacks and then to a general appeal to kindness without clearly connecting these points. Some links are mechanical or unclear, including “Consequently” before a sentence that does not clearly follow from the example. The final sentence is incomplete, which disrupts the ending. Use clearer topic sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “competitive mindset,” “inner confidence,” “assistance,” and “sense of belongingness.” These choices show an effort to discuss both personal development and social support. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “good,” and “better,” while several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make meaning less clear. Examples include “each and evry moves,” “opponent side,” “come forward for others help,” and “feel more better.” There are also spelling and word-form errors, such as “competitve,” “persue,” and “knowledgable.” Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will make your ideas easier to understand and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional example beginning “if.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “if an employee or student is working in a new environment they are tend to feel” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “they can feel more better” uses an incorrect comparative construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where long sentences run together. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns, verb forms, articles and sentence punctuation. Building shorter, controlled sentences first, then combining them carefully, will improve clarity and grammatical control.
