Student answer (Band 5.5)

It goea undoubted that opinion about any issue varies from person to person. Here some people have belief that competition at various field like work, school or in daily life is beneficial , while other reckon that individual ought to be more cooperative instead of competeing with each other. However, this essay shed lights on both views along with my own view point .

While taking firts view into consideration, it can be said that competition must be there in every field of work. Since competition enable to masses to know their capabilities and how much skills they have . While competing with other, individuals get opportunity to broaden horizon as well as learn differnt strategies to complete task in shorter period . They can work with full dedication and determination, which enable them to obtain achievements in their life. For example, masses achieve their ambition , not only when the compete with their own flaws but also come out their comfort zone. Therfore, without competition , there is no fun to work with steady pace.

On the other side, the proponents of second view may think indviduals should work in cooperative way. Corrdination plays imperative role in every field. Without this , organisation fails to achieve their targets. Every person in a teams has different skills and qualities. They all have different working pattern. Some work with faster pace , other in slower . This also provide chance every individual to enhance their capabilities in order to work in efficient way. For instance, in hospital, there are numerous doctors and nurses, who work with coopertaion while providing care to the patient. They utilise their knowledge and skills.

Finally to balance both views, it can be concluded that both views are based on strong ground and it is obviously difficult to choose one , but i personally believe that former is worth following as although coordination also vital to keep individuals hold together, yet youngsters unable to succeed in their life until they have keen desire to give their best in every competition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for competition in the conclusion. The discussion of competition includes relevant points about recognising abilities, learning strategies and working with dedication; the hospital example also makes cooperation concrete. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that competition makes work more enjoyable is not supported, and the final point about young people needing a desire to compete does not fully explain why competition should be preferred over cooperation. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example, and make the comparison between the two approaches more explicit so your position is supported throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “While taking first view into consideration” and “On the other side” help readers follow the discussion, and the examples are placed with the relevant points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the clearer progression associated with a stronger performance. However, links can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for instance, “This also provide chance” does not clearly identify what “This” refers to. The conclusion introduces “coordination” without clearly connecting it to the earlier discussion of cooperation. Use more precise referencing and connect each supporting sentence explicitly to its paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “capabilities,” “dedication,” “determination,” “coordination” and “achievements.” However, the range is not consistently controlled, and noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “competeing,” “differnt,” “Corrdination,” and “work with cooperation”; “work cooperatively” would be more natural. Phrases such as “masses” and “former is worth following” are also imprecise in context. Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships for this topic and checking spelling and word forms. Prefer clear, natural expressions over ambitious vocabulary when you are unsure of the collocation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a subordinate opening with “While taking the first view into consideration” and a contrast structure in the conclusion. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries can make meaning less clear. For example, “competition enable” should be “competition enables,” while “Every person in a teams” has a singular–plural mismatch. “Since competition enable…” is also left as a fragment, and “They can work with full dedication…, which enable them” contains an agreement error. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow.
