Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people believe that competition play a significant part in our life in many sectors amoung them work and school , and others think that we need to work and study together more instead of competing opposit to each other , in my opinion, we must be a competitive persons to achieve success in our life however working with team push us to acquire many positive things .
On the one hand , Competition push and give us a profound sense of willpower and determination which made people work hard to reach the highest notes in the exames or pehaps getting a promotion in work for example a regular office worker who did his job frequently with discipline from 8 AM to 4 PM and always try to to be competitive and creative for reaching an impacbale deals his manager will absolutely observe him and offred promotion due to his hard work .
In the other hand , When we try to cooperate together like a team we will probabely learn new and cruccial things from every one in the group for illustrate a team have project and need to finish it during a precise time around 72 hours , one of them has a difficulties in time managing , throughout this period he will learn this skill without pay intention .fortunatley due to this harmony between them , them will achieve numeros success rather than if one competitive person did this project .
In conclusion, Competition in our life is very nessecr neverthless, if we wok with it in team make from each member from the group a succeful persion who aquire many skills learned from the total team .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both sides of the question and give a personal view: competition can help people succeed, while teamwork can build skills and produce better results. The examples of an employee seeking promotion and a group completing a project are relevant and help illustrate these points. However, the position is not fully clear: the opening says people “must be a competitive persons,” while the conclusion argues for combining competition with teamwork without explaining how the two should be balanced. The ideas are also quite general and their implications are not explored in depth. Develop each view with clearer reasoning, and state a consistent opinion that directly answers which approach you favour and why.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand” and “In the other hand” signal the intended contrast, and the examples broadly follow the points they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are packed into long sentences, and links between claims are not always clear. For instance, the employee example moves from discipline to creativity and promotion without clearly explaining each step. Some transitions are also used inaccurately or mechanically. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it in shorter, logically connected sentences, and make the conclusion follow clearly from the discussion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “willpower and determination,” “promotion,” and “harmony.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “highest notes in the exames,” “impacbale deals,” and “without pay intention.” Repetition of “team,” “success,” and “competitive” also limits precision. Aim to learn common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate phrases such as “achieve high grades,” “secure a promotion,” and “meet a deadline” would make your examples clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which” and “who,” and you use examples to extend your points. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries can make meaning harder to follow. For example, “Competition push” needs subject–verb agreement, while “a team have project” has problems with the article and verb form. The opening sentence also runs several clauses together, making the relationship between ideas unclear. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using conjunctions and relative clauses. Check agreement and verb forms during editing, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
