Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern era, the issue of coopiration at work generated considerable debate, while some people think that working together at work or school in daily life is a good thing, others contend that competition make work more effiency. This essay will examine both prespectives, before presenting my own reasoned opinion.

On the one hand, there are compeling arguments holds the notion that cooperation make big diffirence in terms of quality and mastering, as no one can reach a target or even complete any kind of assignment without help from coleagues. Some workers have weakness on little tasks daily, hence they obviousy needs someone to help, In addition, in many universities, students from low bases education in high school find difficulties, so it is better to help them to develop the level as well as work potential. In fact, the company google start by coworking, therefore we should cooperate more.

On the other hand, a contrasting prespective support that competition leads to achievments, the most significant underpinning the argument of this view is the observation of succes businesses, almost the companies that reach the target and has perfect reputition depends on daily competition in work. Moreover, proponents of this view highlight the fact that smart students come from college that make competitive activities. This is particularly evident in individuals, they put all their power on what they do to insure the effeciency on work or study. For instance, students from Harvard university, is the best in their field because they have studied with a very competitive work.

In my opinion, i inclined to agree with work should be in more cooperation because it make me feel comfortable, although the benefit of competitive work.

In conclusion, both views present valid points

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both cooperation and competition, and your final preference for cooperation is identifiable. The cooperation paragraph gives relevant points about colleagues helping with tasks and students supporting one another; the competition paragraph also mentions business performance and competitive study environments. However, the discussion remains general, and several claims are not clearly explained or supported—for example, the reference to Google does not show how cooperation contributed to its success. Your opinion is brief and mainly based on feeling “comfortable,” while the conclusion simply says both views have valid points without restating your position. Develop the reasons behind your preference and explain examples more clearly so that all parts of the task are addressed more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, an opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” helps readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links feel mechanical or do not clarify the relationship between ideas. For instance, “In fact, the company google start by coworking” is introduced without a clear connection to the preceding point about students and colleagues. The final opinion and conclusion are also very short, leaving the essay without a fully rounded ending. Use clearer links between each claim and its example, and make the conclusion reinforce the position already stated.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “cooperation,” “competition,” “proponents,” “underpinning,” and “competitive activities.” However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “work,” “good thing,” and “target,” and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “quality and mastering,” “low bases education,” and “perfect reputition”; spelling errors such as “coopiration,” “effiency,” and “achievments” are also noticeable. These issues fit a performance where vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the broad topic but errors sometimes interfere with clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, such as “as no one can reach a target…without help,” but complex structures are often faulty, and sentence control is inconsistent. Subject–verb agreement errors include “competition make” and “students…needs”; verb forms are also inaccurate in “the company google start” and “companies…depends.” Articles and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “students from Harvard university, is the best,” while the final opinion, “i inclined to agree,” lacks the required verb form. Commas and capitalisation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then extend them with one clause at a time, checking agreement, articles, and punctuation.
