Student answer (Band 5.0)

Minority of individuals think that competition at work, at school and in daily routine is a valueable thing. Others argue that we should insist to cooperate more instead of competing against each other. In my opinion healthy challenges promote good aspects whereas cooperate with each other is a long term harmony and success. In this essay i will discuss both prespectives before examing the collaborative approach is advantageous.

Firstly, people consider that task in daily life, at work place and at institute is a beneficial element. Nowadays competition is increasing and becoming more interesting to participate. I agree with this view because it gives involvement in the matter and grows inner potential to come out and compete the task in healthly way. For example, The society helds the competition of eating apples by the rules and regulation and in the end windup with a reward.

Secondly, some people believe that cooperation is priority rather than competing with one another. From my prespective, collaboration with other depend on individual nature and their need moreover it may be a part of their work or for the success in life. For instances, Nowaday bloggers do collaborations with different business and hotels for promotions and get the benefits from both parites.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You introduce both views and state a position: “healthy challenges promote good aspects” while cooperation brings “long term harmony and success.” However, the discussion is only partial and the position is not fully explained. The competition paragraph mainly says it develops potential, then gives an eating-apples contest, which does not show clearly how competition benefits work or education. The cooperation paragraph mentions bloggers and businesses but does not explain the wider value of cooperation or compare it with competition. The response is 196 words, 54 words below the 250-word minimum; the 10 words copied from the prompt are excluded. Develop each view with a clear reason and a relevant, explained example, then reinforce your opinion in a conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction followed by one paragraph for each view, and “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the shift between them. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the essay ends without a concluding paragraph that brings the discussion together. Some links are awkward or unclear, such as “moreover it may be a part of their work or for the success in life,” which does not clearly connect the ideas. The introduction also promises to discuss the views before examining cooperation, but the essay does not complete that plan. Use clearer links between reason and example, and add a concise conclusion summarising your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “competition,” “collaboration,” “inner potential,” and “promotions,” so the topic is generally clear. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several choices or forms are inaccurate and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow: “insist to cooperate,” “windup with a reward,” and “collaborative approach is advantageous.” Spelling errors such as “valueable,” “prespective,” and “healthly” further reduce accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, particularly the repeated references to competition and cooperation without more precise terms for their effects. Build a reliable set of topic collocations and check spelling; choose expressions that state the intended benefit directly and naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in the opening and a sentence beginning “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles, and agreement. For example, “The society helds” has an incorrect verb form, while “Nowaday bloggers do collaborations” has problems with number and sentence-initial capitalization. The opening also runs two sentences together at “each other. In my opinion,” and the final sentence lacks a clear grammatical connection between its clauses. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Practise accurate sentence boundaries and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for complete clauses and correct verb forms.
