Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's revolving world competition has become a part of our lives. Some people think that being competitive is a great skill to adapt at working space, education centres and in our daily lives, while others argue that we should rather communicate more effectively than competing. This essay will discuss about how challenging people in daily lives can shape your personality and on the other hand how communication between individuals can resolve the problems effortlessly. I completely agree with the concept of challenging others in order to grow personally and professionally.

Having a healthy competition among individuals can help massively in their growth either academically or in their daily routine. Challenging others who are in the surrounding of your company can be beneficial because it will help you to grow. For instance, if a student get a task to complete, he will go out if his comfort zone to complete that specific task more efficiently at the given timeframe. Meanwhile if there's a individual who is not competitive at all, will not put an effort to complete the task effectively at the give time because he will push the task on the next day. Therefore either on the workplace or institutional centres competition greatly plays crucial role among individuals, it keeps them foccused and motivated all the time.

In contrast to this others argue that there should be cooperation rather than competition. Communication is the most effective way to address the issues in many places and through support from each other we come across many solutions for problems being faced. Supporting others at working space or universities is the fundamental duty for every individual because this envokes a sense of empathy among individuals. To illustrates this, if there's a fellow worker who finds it difficult to run the computer, you will assist him rather than ignoring. As a result he will always remembers your kindness towards him.

In my opinion, I truly believe in challenges. Although cooperation among individuals has many benefits, challenging others in your sphere will help you to succeed in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for competition, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. The examples of a student completing a task and a colleague helping someone use a computer are relevant and make the discussion accessible. However, the two views are not developed equally: the benefits of competition receive more explanation, while cooperation is mainly linked to solving problems and showing empathy. Your position could also be more fully reasoned, since the conclusion says competition helps people succeed without explaining how it can coexist with cooperation or why it is preferable overall. Develop each view with a clearer explanation of its effects and support your opinion with a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a concluding opinion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and transitions such as “In contrast” help signal the shift between views. Some linking is less controlled, however. The introduction promises to discuss communication resolving problems “effortlessly,” but the body does not fully develop that claim, and “Therefore either on the workplace or institutional centres” is an awkward connection to the preceding example. References such as “this” in “this envokes a sense of empathy” are not always precise. To strengthen the progression, make each paragraph’s main point explicit and ensure that examples and concluding sentences clearly connect back to it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “healthy competition,” “academically,” “cooperation,” “empathy,” and “motivated,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and reduce precision: “revolving world,” “skill to adapt at working space,” and “push the task on the next day.” Spelling errors such as “foccused” and “envokes” are noticeable, while “illustrates” is incorrectly formed in “To illustrates this.” Aim for natural collocations and check word forms and spelling carefully. More precise language for describing workplace and educational settings would make the argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional examples and contrast clauses, as in “Although cooperation among individuals has many benefits…”. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “if a student get” instead of “gets,” “if there's a individual” instead of “an individual,” and “he will always remembers” instead of “will always remember.” There are also missing or misplaced articles and prepositions, as in “go out if his comfort zone” and “plays crucial role.” Some long sentences, particularly the student-task example, become difficult to follow because clauses are not joined accurately. Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise complex structures.
