Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views: competition is linked to confidence and problem-solving, while cooperation is presented as a way to communicate and resolve conflict. However, these ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example, and the discussion of competition is repeated. Your position is also unclear: the conclusion says you agree with both sides, but does not explain when or why each approach is valuable. The response is five words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop the argument. To strengthen the response, state a clear position and explain each view with a relevant example, then show how your opinion follows from that discussion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, separate discussion of the two views, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: the first body paragraph repeats the benefits of competition, while the second shifts back to competition after discussing cooperation. Some connections are unclear, particularly “It is very helpful” and “that would be facing in future,” because the references are not precise. The conclusion also introduces little synthesis. Organise each body paragraph around one view, use clear references to the ideas being discussed, and connect each supporting point directly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “confidence,” “communicate,” and “solution,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “take a competition,” “increase confidence level,” and “make an angle to introduce yourself.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. There are also informal or unsuitable expressions, including “No its wrong” and “best answers of your questions.” Aim to use more precise collocations and avoid repeating the same general words. For example, describe how competition can “build self-confidence” or “develop problem-solving skills,” and explain cooperation as “resolving disagreements collaboratively.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic structures to express reasons, for example, “It helps to solve their problem and increase confidence level in people.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation. Examples include “a best thing,” “competing each other,” “they would be know,” and “i agree with both sides Because.” Some sentences are fragments, such as “Secondly, some people believe that to cooperate.” These errors can make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check article use, verb patterns, and sentence boundaries. More accurate simple sentences would make your argument easier to understand before you attempt more complex forms.
