Student answer (Band 4.5)
Few individual believe that compitition at job, at educational institute and on regular days is a excellent thing.while some person think that we must adjust collabrate much, instead of opposing aganist everyone. My justification is mentioned in the upcoming paragraph with relevant examples.
To begin with the major reason of compitition at many sector is with compittion people can improve their ability by watching other people acheivements and capablity from which they feel more motivated and they make every possible effort to beat them. for example there are two student in school so if they are doing compitition in exam so both of them try to gain more marks and better grade in compitition of each other as a result both will become more confident and motivated with their goals.
On the other hand, if people unite with each other so they can gain more knowledge from their colleagues

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You introduce both sides of the topic and give one relevant reason for competition: students may work harder and become more motivated. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The cooperation view is left as an unfinished idea—“they can gain more knowledge from their colleagues”—with no explanation or example, and your own opinion is not clearly stated beyond the brief opening. The school example supports only one side, while competition at work and in daily life is not explored. The response is also 102 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to discuss both views and develop your position. Explain each view, add relevant examples, and state your opinion clearly in a conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction is followed by a paragraph beginning “To begin with” and a contrasting point introduced by “On the other hand.” These markers help the reader recognise a change in direction. However, the response does not develop into a complete, clearly progressing discussion: the final paragraph stops after one short clause, and there is no conclusion to bring the ideas together. Some linking is also awkward or repetitive, such as “compitition” appearing several times in the same discussion. Build a separate, complete paragraph for cooperation, connect its explanation to an example, and finish with a concise statement of your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “motivated,” “ability,” “colleagues,” and “confident,” so the main point about students striving to improve is understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, including “compitition,” “acheivements,” “capablity,” and “collabrate.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “on regular days” and “beat them” in this context. Aim for accurate, natural phrases that express the topic precisely, such as “in everyday life,” “work together,” and “outperform their classmates.” Proofread spelling and check collocations as well as meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by using “so” and “as a result” to show consequences. However, sentence structures are limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. The opening has faulty sentence boundaries and punctuation (“thing.while”), and the example contains problems with number and agreement (“there are two student,” “both of them try”). Articles and sentence construction are also inconsistent, as in “a excellent thing” and “if people unite with each other so they can gain.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “while,” and “as a result.”
