Student answer (Band 5.0)
The issue that some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other has attracted considerable attention.
Overall, the competition at work, at school and in daily life help lot of people to improve their tasks in daily life. Cooperate in work will help both side to learn from each other. In my opinion doing both things at a same time help people to achieve new hights.
Firstly, some people like to compete with each other which also helps the organization if it has lot of talent. Everyone in the competing group will try to rise their achievements as quickely as possible to get the lead. It help the company to grow. On the other hand it also has lot of disadvantages like people don't care their health or their members help. They sometime do wrong thing to achieve their task in time. Sometime they lost the sight of work and cause damage to company. For example, a shirt company faces a lot of lose when its product was leaked in public before it launched, this happens due to overwork caused by competion of groups. One group leak the product of other group which leads to company loss.
Secondly, by cooperating with each other help both side to grow in different matters as everyone has different point of view and different opinions. By sharing and cooperating more, they get new ideas which leads them to achieve new high in no time. For example company like Starlink, Tesla and Spacex reached the peak in no amount of time by coorporating with people. Both these company employees coorporate with eachother to achieve their idea in less amount of time and do impossible things possible.
In my opinion, both the methods has their own advantages and disadvantages. I acknowlegded both side.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both competition and cooperation, and your opinion that both can be useful is present, so the response addresses the main parts of the task. The competition paragraph gives relevant benefits and risks, with the example of a product leak illustrating how rivalry can harm a company. However, the cooperation argument is less fully explained, and the examples involving Starlink, Tesla and SpaceX are asserted rather than clearly showing how cooperation produced success. Your final sentence, “I acknowlegded both side,” does not make your position sufficiently clear or explain how the two approaches should be balanced. Develop each view with a specific, well-explained example and state your conclusion more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and links between ideas can feel mechanical. For example, “On the other hand” introduces disadvantages of competition, but the relationship between the company’s overwork and the product leak is not clearly established. The conclusion is too brief to bring the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its main point, and add a concluding sentence that summarises your position. More precise referencing would also help readers follow phrases such as “both side” and “these company employees.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperating,” “achievements,” “point of view,” and “disadvantages,” and you attempt to express ideas about workplace performance and collaboration. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “rise their achievements,” “get the lead,” “in no amount of time,” and “do impossible things possible.” Spelling errors such as “quickely,” “coorporating,” and “acknowlegded” are also noticeable. Build a more precise vocabulary for describing outcomes and relationships, and check spelling and common word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “which” and “as,” but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Overall, the competition … help lot of people” has subject–verb agreement and article problems, while “Cooperate in work will help both side” has an incomplete grammatical construction and agreement errors. The opening sentence is also a fragment because it begins with “The issue that” but does not form a complete main clause. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries. Shorter, controlled sentences would improve clarity before you add more complex forms.
