Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed that competition at the work places, school and daily is a good thing but yet there are some people of the opinion that there should be people cooperating with each other rather than being in competion with one another.
People working in has different perspective individually, if we look on the side where people prefer competition more than cooperating we can understand that people of that shcool of thought want others to be more hardworking rather than just complying on the fact that someone will come and help me out. In a competing environment people try their best to achieve what they want to get. It will be more beneficial for the individual to compete because by doing that they will be more competent and knowledgble. Also they will understand the reality of the world that there will not be people cooperting with you everywhere you have try on your own to get what is required.
On the other side cooperating with each other rather than competing with each other can also get some fruitful results. As because in an environment where everyone just start competing will result in a less friendly culture. Cooperation can results in good professional relationships, where one person can rely on others which will result in building strong relations.
At the end there will always be these differing opinions and each will have their own advantages and disadvantages. Competition can give you good results but there will be need of cooperation because after all we are humans and we should help and help each other out in arduos situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives: competition is linked to effort, personal competence and self-reliance, while cooperation is associated with a friendlier culture and stronger professional relationships. Your conclusion also indicates that both have value. However, the task asks for your own opinion, and the final paragraph mainly says that each approach has advantages and disadvantages; it does not clearly state which you favour or how you would balance them. Several points are asserted rather than explained—for example, the claim that competition makes people more knowledgeable is not supported with a specific explanation or example. Develop each view with a concrete illustration and make your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other side” and “At the end” help signal movement between sections, and the main ideas are generally easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence is lengthy and repeats the contrast, while “People working in has different perspective individually” does not establish a clear link to the argument that follows. The cooperation paragraph also moves quickly from an unfriendly culture to professional relationships without fully explaining the connection. Use clearer topic sentences and link each supporting explanation directly to its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competing environment,” “professional relationships,” “rely on others” and “advantages and disadvantages.” These choices communicate the central ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors reduce precision. Examples include “complying on the fact,” “fruitful results,” “cooperating with you everywhere” and “arduos situations”; some are awkward or unclear in context. There are also misspellings such as “competion,” “shcool” and “knowledgble.” Aim for accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise language for outcomes—such as productivity, mutual support or workplace morale—would help express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “where,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur in basic sentence patterns and in longer constructions, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “People working in has different perspective individually” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “Cooperation can results” has incorrect verb agreement. In “there will not be people cooperting with you everywhere you have try on your own,” clauses run together and the verb form is faulty. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with correct punctuation. Check articles, agreement and verb forms during revision.
