Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is a debate regarding being competitive and being cooperative at work, at school or in daily life. Some people perfers compitition whereas others believe that cooperation is much better. I will discuss both of the views in the following eassy and then give my opinion.
On the one hand, healthy competition helps people in personal and professional growth. Competition among individuals not only helps them to evaluate their efforts but also encourages them to exceed their capabilities by providing a feedback of their work. For example, if schools provide extra care to the weak students based on their examination results instead of punishing them, students will feel more motivated towards their studies. This will eventually help the weakest students to grow. In this way, every aspect of our life it can be work or any daily life incident, we can uplift it by having a positive mentality for growth.
On the other hand, cooperation builds campassionate and friendly environment in our daily life. Cooperative mind among peers encourges them to help each other in need, te be sympathetic towards the weak. Although sometimes in work or school it becomes difficult to share own tasks with another, cooperation allows us to share work pressure by team work. For example, friendly nature of the project manager alliviates the workload and makes a complex task simpler. Consequently, the outcome of the task will be much more satisfactory. Even in schools also students will feel more encouraged to study by working in groups. Therefore, the harmonic phonomenon developed by cooperation will help strike the balance between workload and interpersonnal relationship.
In my opinion, I would prefer the latter view as it balances between workload and friendliness. Although competion gives a person to grow in their life, I think having good understanding among people is more important to keep up with constant pressure of our lives.
In conclusion, competion is important for evaluating a individuals erffort in a task whereas cooperation involves maintaing a harmonic enviroment at work, at school and in day to day life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for cooperation, particularly in the paragraph beginning “In my opinion.” The examples about school support, project managers and group study are relevant. However, the competition argument is not always clearly explained: the example about giving extra care to weaker students illustrates support more directly than competition, and the claim that competition helps people “exceed their capabilities” would benefit from a specific explanation. The cooperation side is more fully developed through its effects on workload and relationships. To strengthen the response, make each example directly demonstrate the view being discussed and explain the consequences in more detail. Your conclusion summarises both positions, but could restate your own judgement more decisively.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. The examples are generally placed alongside the relevant claims, and the cooperation paragraph develops from helping peers to sharing workload. Some linking is mechanical, however, and repeated transitions such as “Therefore” and “Consequently” make connections feel formulaic. A few references are also unclear, particularly “In this way, every aspect of our life it can be work or any daily life incident,” where the relationship between the example and the general claim is difficult to follow. Use more precise referencing and vary how you connect cause, example and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “personal and professional growth,” “work pressure,” “sympathetic,” and “interpersonal relationship,” which helps discuss both competition and cooperation. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “exceed their capabilities” and “alleviates the workload.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “perfers,” “compitition,” “campassionate,” and “phonomenon.” Some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “providing a feedback” and “harmonic phenomenon developed by cooperation” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Work on accurate spelling and common collocations, and choose simpler, precise wording when unsure. This will make your vocabulary more reliable and easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Although” and “whereas,” and most of the main ideas remain understandable. Some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction and agreement. For example, “Some people perfers” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “Although sometimes in work or school it becomes difficult to share own tasks with another” is awkwardly structured and lacks a clear possessive determiner. The sentence “In this way, every aspect of our life it can be work…” also has a faulty clause structure. Articles and plurals need attention in phrases such as “a individuals erffort.” Review agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, then edit complex sentences to ensure each clause has a clear subject and verb.
