Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people think that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. While other belive that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. I firmly believes we should try to implement both in our society competition and cooperation.
The primary reason why I hold this view is that competion is important because it give zeal to learning habitat. For example if we held a competition in any school on any contest may be on any topic than the students sharp thier skills related to topic and show a great improvement in such department. Its consiqunces are that every person in environment try his best to enroll in good lists as competition reward us with great financially and mentality.
The principal reason why I hold this point is that cooperation helps society to success and moderinize. For example if we cooperrate with others and helps to solve thier problems and in future they will surely helps us back in our needs. This cause really a good impact on environment that every next person his polite and help everyone in thier crucial time and so people become fast learner and develop new skills as soon as they can by gaining help by others.
In conclusion we can summerize it as cooperation is needed to learn, develop and overcome to many needy and helpful sitution. In the case of competition these learning habits become sharp and everyone give his full focus to learn and his best to perform well from other and show his presence in nice spots.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides by explaining that competition can motivate students to improve and that cooperation allows people to help one another, and your conclusion restates support for both. However, the position is not fully clear: “I firmly believes we should try to implement both” is followed by two paragraphs introduced with nearly identical “primary/principal reason” wording, without clearly weighing the views or explaining when each is most useful. The examples are relevant but under-developed, and some claims, such as competition bringing financial rewards, are not explained. The response is also 15 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your ideas. Clarify your position and extend each example with a specific explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph on competition, one on cooperation, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long example sentences, where several points are joined without clear relationships. The repeated openings “The primary reason why I hold this view” and “The principal reason why I hold this point” also make the organisation feel mechanical, and “This cause” does not clearly refer to one specific idea. Use clearer topic sentences, divide long explanations into shorter sentences, and use linking phrases to show cause and result precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperation,” “skills,” and “improvement,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response difficult to interpret. For example, “learning habitat,” “enroll in good lists,” and “nice spots” do not express the intended ideas clearly; “sharp their skills” is also an unnatural phrase. Spelling errors such as “competion,” “consiqunces,” and “summerize” further reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic phrases and check spelling carefully; choose precise expressions such as “learning environment,” “develop their skills,” and “achieve recognition.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if we held a competition” and clauses beginning with “because.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. Examples include “I firmly believes,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “competition … it give,” which also needs correct agreement. In “if we cooperrate with others and helps,” the verb forms do not match the subject, while “they will surely helps us back” combines an incorrect verb form with an unclear structure. Practise subject–verb agreement and consistent verb forms, and break long sentences into shorter, complete clauses. Check punctuation, especially after introductory phrases such as “For example.”
