Student answer (Band 5.0)

Competition among people are very good thing on the field of work, study and also in daily life as per few people are believe in it. Whereas other people says to cooperate more, rather than competing with each other. In paragraph below we are going to talk about both group of people thought.

As per people says the competition is far better than doing things together. In almost every sector like work, study and in daily life as well. This will help people to make improvement on their own skills and knowledge. As the statement "Practice make man perfect". While they used to compete with their oppount they sharpen their skills. Because of this the knowledge of any particular things are also enhanced.

Now, the group of people who says that we should cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. When an individual will cooperate they got help from other and might be unable to do these things in future soley. For instance, a student doing his homework by himself but he cannot do it, and than he ask for help by another person who help him to do, rather than exploring the method of doing it. Because of this when he faced the same type question in exam again he will wish to get help from other.

Overall, the competition among the people will help to enhance their skills and knowledge, whereas the doing it by the help of anyone is not so good idea for an individual. So, as per in my opinion I will support the view of people on which they are trying to compete with each other and make growth in their knowledge. Due to it helps in the growth of an individual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question and state a preference for competition in the conclusion. The first body paragraph gives a relevant reason—that competition can improve skills and knowledge—and the second attempts to explain a possible drawback of relying on cooperation, using a student example. However, the discussion is only partial: the cooperation view is not fairly explored, and the example mainly criticises receiving help rather than showing how cooperation can benefit people. Your position is also not fully clear in the introduction, which says the essay will discuss both views without indicating your own stance. Develop each side with a balanced, specific example and explain why your preferred approach is stronger. The response meets the stated length requirement; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several links feel mechanical or do not express the intended relationship. For example, “As per people says” and “Now, the group of people” introduce ideas awkwardly, while “Because of this” is repeated without always making the connection precise. The student example also moves from asking for help to future dependence without enough explanation. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each reason directly to its example, and vary linking expressions so the argument develops more smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “skills,” “knowledge,” and “individual,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Phrases such as “make improvement on their own skills,” “compete with their oppount,” and “the knowledge of any particular things are also enhanced” are not natural or precise. There are also spelling errors, including “oppount” and “solely.” Aim to use accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for instance, describe how competition “helps people improve their skills” and how people “work together” to solve a problem.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, as in “When an individual will cooperate they got help from other,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “Competition among people are,” “people are believe,” and “the group of people who says.” The sentence beginning “As per people says” is also incomplete or incorrectly formed, and punctuation is sometimes missing around introductory clauses. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and keep verb forms consistent, such as “people believe” and “an individual gets help.”
