Student answer (Band 5.5)
People have different views, some people believe that competition at working, at school and in our daily lives is helpfull. However, others think we should cooperate more with each other, rather than competing each other. I believe that we should be more cooperate with others.
Some individuals try to do better than others to become more good at their working or at their school. Furthermore, people wants better result in their live by competing with each other as it helps them to get paid high in the job field. Moreover, Student at school try study hard to get better rank than their classmates and it help them to become more knowledgeable. In our daily life we want peacefull and financially freedom , but to get this oppurtunity we need to prove our self that we are better than others.
In our daily life or in any working sector if we help each other and cooperate with other we can live stressfree and mentally strong. Because in teamwork people can do the task that will be impossible to do it alone, so we don't need the extra stress to fullfil the work. In addition, cooperating with classmates in school can help to improve their teamwork skills and ability to understand different students perspective which will allow them to motivate themselvs, and also it will help them in their future. In our daily life if we support other people than this will help to devolop a better socity.
In conclusion, competing with each other in working sector, school and daily life is good. I strongly believe that cooperate with other people has more benifits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both sides and state your view in the introduction, saying cooperation should be preferred, then explain competition through motivation at work and school and cooperation through teamwork and social support. These points are relevant, but the response only partly develops the task: the competition paragraph gives several broad claims without a specific example or explanation of when competition is beneficial, while the cooperation paragraph offers more detail but still relies on general statements. The conclusion also says competition “is good” before reaffirming cooperation, which makes your final position less consistent. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each approach and make your preference clear throughout, supported by a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for competition, one for cooperation, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive, with several sentences beginning “Moreover,” “In addition,” or “In our daily life,” and the links between claims are not always clear. For example, the move from wanting financial freedom to needing to prove oneself does not explain how competition achieves that outcome. Some references are also vague, such as “this” in “this will help to develop a better society.” Use fewer formulaic connectors and build each paragraph around a clear main idea, followed by explanation and a specific example; ensure pronouns clearly refer to the intended idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “teamwork,” “stress,” and “financially.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word forms, spellings, and collocations make the writing less natural. Examples include “competition at working,” “get paid high,” “financially freedom,” and “stressfree”; these choices may slow the reader or obscure the intended meaning. There are also repeated general words such as “good,” “better,” and “help.” Build a more precise range for discussing outcomes—for instance, motivation, collaboration, productivity, and mutual support—and check spelling and common word partnerships. This would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if we help each other … we can live stressfree” and a relative clause beginning “which will allow them.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “people wants better result” has agreement and number problems, while “Because in teamwork people can do the task that will be impossible to do it alone” is an incomplete sentence and contains an awkward clause structure. The opening also joins two independent clauses with a comma. Practise forming complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and using complex clauses only when their structure is clear.
