Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is an ongoing debate that, many individuals believe that competition at work, at school and in daily life is appropriate way to become a successful in life, but other people argue that competition decrease our integrity to live together, cooperation is best way to become successful in the life. I firmly agree with competition in daily life, because its provide us a good way to do work hard with consistency. This essay will also discuss both opinion and explain why i agreed with competition related statement.

On the first hand, many individuals want to achieve something big in their life, but their comfort zone to stop them to achieve their dreams; then they do nothing and live with bad situations. As the result, they do not focus on goal and failed in their life, its does not means they can not try. This types of individual do not wants to compet with people, its does not indicate he is cooperative, he afraid to do risk. For instance, if a individual says i do not like competition and live comfort zone, then its shows us he is scary for failure.

On the other hand, some individuals want to live life with competition with other people and their every task become more significant in their life. Furthermore, competition as help us to do every task with full potiential indirectly competition help them to achieve there goal. For example, competition makes a take more attractive towards attendees and also the factor of ego involve in this task then they do it full potiential and after hard work, individuals achieve their goal. So, that why I completely agree with this statement, its help a lot to achieve big in life.

To conclude, competition help us to become a successful person, because it provide us anti comfort zone environment and also FOMO but if no competition then eveyone wants to live in comport zone and do not take risk in their life. My personal experience is also in the favour of competition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear preference for competition, especially in the introduction and conclusion, and you give examples involving comfort zones and effort. However, the task asks you to discuss both competition and cooperation, and the response gives very little explanation of the benefits of cooperation. The first body paragraph mainly describes people who avoid competition, rather than explaining how cooperation can help people succeed. The second paragraph supports competition, but claims such as competition making a task “more attractive towards attendees” are difficult to understand and are not clearly connected to a specific example. To strengthen the response, explain a genuine advantage of cooperation, then develop each view with a clear reason and a relevant, specific example. The position is present, but the discussion remains limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the first hand,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help identify its sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from ambition to comfort zones and then to fear of failure without clearly linking these points to cooperation. Some linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanical, and references such as “its” and “this task” do not always make clear what is being discussed. The conclusion repeats the preference for competition rather than bringing the two views together. Use topic sentences that directly address each side, and connect each explanation and example explicitly to the paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperative,” “comfort zone,” “achieve their goal” and “risk,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make ideas unclear. For example, “competition decrease our integrity to live together” does not express the intended contrast clearly, while “a take more attractive towards attendees” is difficult to interpret. There are also repeated forms such as “achieve” and “goal,” and spelling errors including “potiential” and “eveyone.” Aim for precise phrases that express the relationship between ideas, such as how teamwork can combine skills or how competition can motivate improvement. Proofreading spelling and word forms would also make your meaning more reliable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “but” and “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “competition decrease,” “its provide us,” “they do not wants,” and “a individual,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms and articles. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the opening sentence joins several ideas in a confusing way, and “This essay will also discuss both opinion” lacks accurate grammatical form. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate conjunctions. Check agreement, articles, pronouns and punctuation during revision.
