Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is a believe that competition makes person more creative, productive but some people have different perspective about competition, they argue that instead of competing against each other we should try to cooperate more and build social life more optimistic .Therefore, in my opinion cooperation is better than competition in today's challenging world.

Talking about competition than it has several benefits in various fields like in company, school grades, secure future jobs and manymore. For example, competition among companies gives significant outcome in economical terms, growth in market and if a school student is competing with other batchmates then there are chances to get more grades and chances for placements. Competition in daily life shows that a person is more creative in his\her activity and chances to get promoted, therefore productivity of a person can be enhanced in competitive environment. Like , competition among millionare companies like Mahindra, Suzuki and other automobile company where everyone wants to make vehicle better than anyone.

On the other hand, cooperation is also crucial in person's daily life and because of this people are more close to each other, they performmed by many minds and emotions which is not in competiton environment. Socialism and cooperation are kind of similar thing where people thinks in inclusive and cooperative manner means giving everyone equal opportunities, chances and make living culture more favourable. Cooperation among students by helping each others in every aspects make students more friendly and can have better relationships. Furthermore, teamwork and coordination among companies leads to inclusive development which helps in economic development and as well as economic growth and chances for sustainable living style.

In conclusion, cooperation helps in inclusive growth of every sector and create favourable environment. Therefore, competition with cooperation is much more essential in daily life instead of only competition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the discussion and make your position clear: cooperation is preferable, although your conclusion recognises that combining it with competition is important. The benefits of competition are illustrated through companies, students and automobile manufacturers, while the cooperation paragraph discusses relationships, teamwork and inclusive development. These examples are relevant, but several claims are asserted rather than explained—for instance, competing students are said to gain better grades and job placements without showing how this happens. The discussion of cooperation is also broader and less specific than the competition examples. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a clear explanation and a concrete example, and clarify how your final view balances the two approaches.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. This makes the two viewpoints easy to identify, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence combines several ideas, and the transition from cooperation to “Socialism” is not fully explained. Within paragraphs, examples sometimes follow one another without showing how they support the main point; the company and student examples, for instance, are joined in a long sequence. Use clearer topic sentences and organise each paragraph around one claim, followed by explanation and an example. More precise referencing would also help readers follow links between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “productive,” “inclusive development,” “coordination,” and “sustainable,” and these choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond basic terms. Meaning is generally understandable, but inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make expressions awkward. Examples include “a believe,” “economical terms,” “school grades,” and “performed by many minds,” which do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “competiton” and “millionare.” Aim to learn vocabulary in common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. Choosing simpler, precise phrases—for example, “economic growth” or “work together”—would make the argument clearer than using ambitious but uncertain wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “if,” “where,” and “which,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent: some sentences contain several grammatical problems, as in “if a school student is competing with other batchmates then there are chances to get more grades.” Subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and verb forms need attention; for example, “people thinks” should use a plural verb, and “they performmed” does not fit the sentence structure. Punctuation and sentence boundaries are also unreliable, particularly where commas join long ideas. Practise building accurate shorter sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses, checking agreement and punctuation in each sentence.
