Student answer (Band 5.0)
People have differing view on whether competition at work, at school, and in life routine is better or others say that we need to cooperate with other withhout putting someone down. while theere are responsible arguments in favour of both prepective, I believe that competition is important in someone life because it can help to motivate their mind.
On the one hand, those eho support compitition argue that if their is no any enemy in their work or study then they will not grow. This is primarly because if you see some one growing then spirit in you can also help to grow. For instance, In a school if student see their classfellow to bring 98% in test and all students in a class and also clap for him. As a result, it mind has thinks that he also should get 100% marks. Therefore, it is understanable why some people consider competition is a preferable choice.
On the otherhand, I find the arguments in favour of coperate with each other instead of doing compitition. The main reason is that people start hate each other. This is particularly significant because if someone see their freind growing it can make jealousy in their mind. Consequently it has negative impacts on society because every trying to discurage another. Therefore, for these reason compitition is harmful for humanity.
In conclusion, although compitition has positive effects like it should help people to motivate and in result they start growing. i believe that it is normal because it can help them rise. Although, some argue that it injurious for society

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a relevant view that competition can motivate people, and you also discuss a concern about cooperation being undermined by jealousy. However, the task asks you to discuss both views and give your own opinion, and the cooperation side is not explained as a positive alternative: it is mainly described through the negative effects of competition. Your position also becomes unclear in the conclusion, where you say competition is beneficial but end with “Although, some argue that it injurious for society” without resolving the contrast. The school example gives some support, but its explanation is difficult to follow. Develop the benefits of cooperation directly, then state a consistent opinion and support it with clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow. In the school example, the sequence from seeing a classmate’s result to wanting 100% is unclear, and the conclusion repeats the motivation point before ending with an incomplete contrast. Linking phrases such as “Therefore” and “Consequently” are used repeatedly, sometimes where the relationship between ideas has not been made clear. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, explain it step by step, and use referencing and transitions only when they accurately show the connection.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “motivate,” “jealousy,” and “negative impacts.” This gives the response a basic range suited to the discussion. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are frequent and sometimes make the meaning hard to interpret, as in “compitition,” “discourage,” “perspective,” and “life routine.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “no any enemy in their work or study” and “it mind has thinks.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than repeating broad terms such as “grow” and “harmful.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because,” “if,” and “although,” and you use a range of sentence openings. However, these structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “if their is no any enemy” has problems with the clause construction, while “if someone see their freind growing it can make jealousy in their mind” has errors in agreement and sentence punctuation. The final sentence, “Although, some argue that it injurious for society,” is incomplete and lacks a clear grammatical connection to the preceding point. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed subordinate clauses; check verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
