Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few individuals say that to be competative at work,at school and in daily life is a good thing but remaining ones think that people should try to cooperate more as compare to competion.I will disscuss both the views in upcoming paragraphs with suitable conclusion and with my own opinion.

To commance with, it is good to do competition in daily routine because in today's era every think that to do your best and become a succes person in a life so every single individual give their best .For example at work places to become a best employee and for best salary people do their best from others so it is normal and important to competition.Furthermore,in schools also leaners try do hardwork to archeive 1 position so competition is a normal thing in running time to success in a life.

On its flip side, many citizens believe that people should try to cooperate it is also very significant in life because if people cooperate with eachoyher so they can help each other in difficult time and if they donot have knowledge that how to maintain everything so the communication level is fell down .People can forget their honesty and kindness they can only think about for their own benefits .

In conclusion ,competition is a good thing to set goals in a life and archieve it but cooperation is also have same value that how to give respect others .In my opinion both have their on values in sports and studies competition is a good way for success but to cooperate with others are also main moral in daily lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a personal view, particularly in the conclusion: competition can help people achieve goals, while cooperation has moral value. The examples of employees seeking better salaries and students aiming for first place are relevant. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the benefits of competition are mostly described as striving to succeed, and the cooperation paragraph makes a less clear point about knowledge and communication. Explain more precisely how cooperation improves outcomes, and support each view with a specific example. Your position is present, but the claim that both approaches matter could be stated more clearly and consistently throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic organisation. Transitions such as “To commence with,” “On its flip side,” and “In conclusion” signal changes in direction. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear: the cooperation paragraph moves from helping in difficult times to knowledge, communication, honesty, and personal benefits without explaining how these points connect. Some linking is also mechanical, and the opening promises a discussion “in upcoming paragraphs” rather than introducing the central contrast directly. Group related points, use clearer references, and make each paragraph develop one main idea in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “benefits,” “goals,” and “respect,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make the writing less clear, for example “competative,” “disscuss,” “succes,” and “archeive.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “do competition,” “running time to success,” and “set goals in a life.” Aim to learn common collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for workplace and educational contexts would help you explain the advantages of both competition and cooperation without repeating general words such as “good” and “important.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if people cooperate with each other,” and you use basic paragraph-level sentence patterns to express your views. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent grammatical errors that can make relationships difficult to follow. For example, “people should try to cooperate it is also very significant” joins clauses without appropriate punctuation or a conjunction, while “cooperation is also have same value” has an incorrect verb construction. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause before adding more complex structures.
