Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are two groups of people, Both have opposite opinions. One group believes that competition at work spaces, at school and in daily life is a good thing, while other group believes that they should cooperative team work than a competition amoung the members. Although competition bring out best from the individuals, in contrast Teamwork/cooperation avoid personal jelousy and encourage team work. In my opinion both should be implemented with good managment, competition should be for increase effiecency should not took personaly by the employee, on the other hand teamwork should be encourage to achieve bigger task in limited time.
Competition is best at work, school, and in daily life to bring out best product from the efforts of the indiviuals. If there is no competition then that person will start living in delusion that he is best in that niche, he will feel he needs no improvement, while if two or more people competition for same role, then they will start putting efforts in how they can be best amoung them without taking this competition personaly that he will replace me, so there is no room for delusion. for example, a student in a classroom, if there is only one student in a class room then he will come 1st in every exam, Although its numbers are 100% or just passing marks, in result it will not cost his position, becuase there is no one who can compete with him. So, i believe competition is neccesary for the best outcome, here the managment role is very important how they manage this competition to be productive not personal.
Team work and cooperation is best to attain a large scale product in limited time by divided that product task in smaller tasks which will be done by the team work and cooperation. Enterprise level project are done in 6 months and it require a big team, if their is no collaboration and communication between team then it will effect the entire project, result in delays and poor product. so, Team work in these casses are important to achieve bigger goals. For example a software house building a website for hospital managment system, in this case there will be development team, requirement team, testing team, cooperation to build that product is required cannot be done indiviualy. So, i believe team work is required to fulfill bigger assigment.
Overall, Competition and Cooperation both have pros and cons, but how maximum pros can be attain totally dependent on the managment, better managment will attain maximum pros and worse managment will attain maximum cons.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear position: competition can improve individual performance, while cooperation helps teams complete larger projects. The classroom example illustrates your competition argument, and the software-house example supports the value of collaboration. Your conclusion also returns to the idea that management affects the benefits of both approaches. This meets the task well, though some points are more fully developed than others: the discussion of competition is detailed, while the cooperation paragraph mainly explains task division and project coordination. Your opinion that both should be used is clear, but the role of management could be explained more precisely, including how it prevents unhealthy rivalry and encourages effective teamwork. The response meets the length requirement; 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. The examples generally follow the claims they are intended to support, and linking expressions such as “while,” “for example,” and “Overall” help readers follow the discussion. This gives the essay a coherent progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening uses “Although” and then “in contrast” in a way that makes the relationship between the ideas difficult to follow, and the long competition paragraph moves through several points without clear sentence boundaries. Repeated references to “team work” and “competition” also make cohesion less flexible. Use clearer topic sentences and divide extended explanations into shorter, logically connected sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “competition,” “cooperation,” “collaboration,” “delays,” and “productive.” Some choices show an attempt to be specific, such as “enterprise level project” and “requirement team.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make parts of the essay awkward or less clear. Examples include “bring out best,” “best product from the efforts,” “personal jelousy,” and “bigger assigment.” Repetition of “team work” and “competition” also limits flexibility. Build a bank of natural collocations for discussing performance and group work, and proofread spelling and word forms. More precise phrasing would make your arguments easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If there is no competition then that person will start…” and a contrast clause beginning “while.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to cause difficulty. For example, “competition bring out” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “they should cooperative” lacks the correct verb construction. The sentence beginning “for example, a student in a classroom” runs on and contains several clauses that need clearer punctuation. Practise accurate clause construction and check each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb before adding further detail.
