Student answer (Band 5.5)
Competition and cooperation jointly make the balanced community. Competition helps people in doing hardwork.By doing hardwork different abilities have been created in them. These abilities later on help in facing any challang. While cooperation play a role in connecting people with each other. In this way they learn new things.
In developed countries both competition and cooperation are promoted. Some fields are attached to competition that means do hardwork and polish your abilities to get in these fields. As we see some universities not only consider the marks but also conduct competitive exam so students not only work on their memories but also on creative thinking. Creative thinking is a skill that can not be teach. It is inbuilt ability that can be improve by self teach. Therefore this technique adopt to live creative thinking skill in a person. These person serve for the country in a more better way than others.
Beyond this fact, cooperation also very important in life. It helps in learning process . We see in school that teachers cooperate with students in understanding the task. Through this way time also save. If teacher do not cooperate the students i may take many days in completing a single task. this cooperation we also see in co-curricular activities when student give the task to present this topic in front of the class. He take help from the teachers and friends in overcoming the fear. Same thing we see in companies that team has mad and then assign him a task so task compelete on time and with efficiency.
Overall both factor have their own benifits one creat the skill of creative thinking and other save the time and some time both requird at same time that we see in games.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear overall view that competition and cooperation each have benefits, as stated in the opening and conclusion. The examples about university admissions, teachers helping students, and teamwork in companies are relevant to the topic. However, the discussion is uneven: competition is mainly linked to developing creative thinking, while the benefits and possible drawbacks of competition are not explored in much depth. The cooperation examples are also described more than analysed, and your own opinion could be stated more directly and supported with a reasoned comparison of when each approach is most useful. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation of its effects to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph focused mainly on competition, one on cooperation, and a concluding summary. This helps the reader follow the two sides. You also use linking expressions such as “Beyond this fact” and “Overall.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links feel mechanical or do not show the relationship between ideas precisely. For example, the university example moves from admissions to creative thinking and then to serving the country without fully explaining the connections. References such as “this technique” and “these person” are also unclear. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s point, then connect examples explicitly to that point and use clearer referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperation,” “creative thinking,” “co-curricular activities,” and “efficiency.” These terms help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “hardwork,” “live creative thinking skill,” “team has mad,” and “task compelete.” Spelling errors such as “challang,” “benifits,” and “requird” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural phrases for discussing skills, teamwork, and outcomes, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the examples without relying on repeated general words such as “task” and “help.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses with “that” and conditional structures such as “If teacher do not cooperate…”. This shows an effort to express cause and effect, but control is inconsistent. There are errors in subject–verb agreement and verb forms, for example “cooperation play,” “can not be teach,” and “task compelete on time.” Articles and plurals are also sometimes missing or incorrect, as in “in school” and “these person.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention: “In this way they learn new things” and the following sentence run together, while spacing before punctuation is inconsistent. Practise accurate agreement, articles, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
