Student answer (Band 5.0)
A number of people consider that there should a competetive environment in everywhere in life such as at school, at work and in daily life, and they also believe that it has a lot of benefit. While others argue that we have to try cooperate more, would rather than competing with each other.
On the one hand, there are a lot of pors of having competition in evey place. One of the significant reason is getting better feedback, when a person have in a challange, he may feel to win the challange by competing with others. The person might try to do his best, and also do not want to waste his time anyhow. And, that would give him possitive energy on his body and mind, so it can drive him towards the win the challange. For instance, if a student want to accuire first place in his class, he has to do competition with other student. Without competing them he can not achive his ambition. Moreover, in working industry, without any competition the company will not get best feedback from their employees, because if there have any kind of declration from the compnay that if anyone achive the target, he will get rewards, and it can be made the employee more competitive, as a consequence, the company will get better perfimance from thr employees.
In contrast, cooperativeness also a vital thing for the work, school and daily life. Because, we are human being without assisting each other we would not able to live peacefully. So, there should cooperativenss in between people in evereywhere.
In conclusion, though there is some merits of cooperativeness, but the competetion outweigh the advanteges of cooperating at work, at school and in daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for competition in the conclusion. The examples about a student seeking first place and a company rewarding employees are relevant and show why competition may motivate people. However, the discussion of cooperation is only a few general statements, such as “we are human being” and the claim that people need to assist one another; it does not explain how cooperation benefits school, work, or daily life. The reasons for competition are also repetitive and sometimes unclear, particularly the explanation about “getting better feedback.” Develop the cooperation side with a specific example and explain your position more fully to address all parts of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for competition, a paragraph for cooperation, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the one hand,” “In contrast,” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages. However, progression within the longer competition paragraph is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in a chain, and the link between motivation, “positive energy,” and winning is not made clear. The cooperation paragraph is much shorter and does not develop its point, so the essay feels unbalanced. Some linking expressions are also awkward or repetitive. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it with a clearly connected example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competitive environment,” “ambition,” “cooperativeness,” and “rewards.” This gives you some means of discussing motivation and teamwork. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors—such as “competetive,” “challange,” “achive,” and “perf imance”—make the writing less clear. Several word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, including “getting better feedback” where you appear to mean improved performance, and “do competition with.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases, such as “compete with classmates,” “work collaboratively,” and “improve performance,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a student want to accuire first place… he has to…” and “if anyone achive the target, he will get rewards.” These attempts show some range, but errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include missing or incorrect verb forms in “there should a competitive environment,” “we have to try cooperate,” and “cooperativeness also a vital thing.” Subject–verb agreement is also inconsistent (“a person have,” “a student want”), and articles and plurals are often missing. Practise accurate sentence patterns first, especially modal constructions (“should be,” “try to cooperate”) and agreement, before extending sentences with several clauses.
