On that note, few individuals believe that competition at places like work, school even in daily life is a good, whereas others think that people have to cooprate with others instead of competing against them. There are several reasons why competition is good. Firstly, people can give their best because of competition. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question: the competition paragraphs explain motivation and possible benefits for workplaces, while the cooperation paragraph describes shared work and skills such as communication. However, the discussion remains general, and several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that competition “give profits” to workplaces is not supported with a clear explanation of how this happens. Your conclusion mentions both views but does not clearly state which you consider more beneficial, so your own opinion is not fully established. To strengthen the response, explain each main idea with a specific example and make your position explicit in the introduction and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some connections between claims are unclear. For instance, the sentence about competition benefiting companies and educational centres repeats the idea that people work hard without showing how this leads to profit. The conclusion also introduces no clear synthesis of the discussion. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example directly to the point it supports; clearer referencing would also help avoid repeated references to “they” and “their.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “teamwork,” “communication skill,” and “time management.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less natural. Examples include “become jealous from their other members,” “compete with their other staff member,” and “work as team.” Spelling errors such as “competative,” “cooprates,” and “compeption” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for describing motivation, collaboration, and workplace outcomes, and check spelling and common word partnerships before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if,” and “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “competition also good for companies” is missing a verb, while “teamwork can teaches them” uses an incorrect verb form. In “if people cooprates with their team,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the sentence beginning “For example, employs and students…” has an unclear structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each clause, especially after modal verbs and conditional “if” clauses.
