Student answer (Band 5.5)

To commence with, it is most debatable topic in our world weather a fair section of people believe competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. some individuals thinks we should try to cooperate more , rather than competing against each other. both are coorect as per their aspects but competitions have more weightage than cooperation because competition helps to motivate people.

First and foremost, lot's of people admit competative nature has great brighter side . the major advantage is competiotions helps to boost persons mindset as well as create new ideas and thoughts. Moreover helps to boost confidence level additionally provides motivation. For instance if a student enrolled himself in quiz competition that competitions helps to boost their knowledge . if a student win that quiz schools teacher give some prizes to him these prizes helps to motivate and build confidence these events always kept in their good books. Altough these events also helps to learn new skills like communication, teamwork and leadership technique.

On the paradoxical side, few individuals advocate cooperateness has more advantage rather than competition. they believe in competition people hate their competitor. However, cooperation had great advantages like it helps to make new relations with people and also helps to learn new skill with your bench parter, office colleague these skills helps to resolve people problem fastly. Furthermore a lot's of people who lose in competition get demotivates afterwards.

According to my opinion, competition had more weightage than cooperation because in competition peple learn ample types of skills like communicatin, leadership. Moreover, to get lot's of reward from seniors and blessings for future carrer .

To conclude, both person's are correct as per their aspects both things has advantages and disadvantages like competion provides rewards, motivation, and get a chance to live in entire world. However, cooperation provides helps to make realtions and get a chance to learn new technique to solve problem fastly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both competition and cooperation and state a clear preference for competition, giving relevant reasons such as motivation, confidence, learning skills, and building relationships. The quiz example helps illustrate how competition may benefit a student. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the cooperation paragraph lists benefits and the possibility of demotivation, but does not explain when cooperation might be more effective or support this with a specific example. Some claims, such as competition offering “a chance to live in entire world,” are unclear and do not strengthen the argument. To develop the response further, explain the consequences of each view and make your comparison more precise, while keeping your position consistent.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “First and foremost,” “However,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long, repetitive sequences, especially in the quiz example. Some connections are unclear, and the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together. References such as “these events” and “these skills” do not always make their meaning precise. Use clearer topic sentences, divide explanations into manageable sentences, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “motivation,” “confidence,” “leadership,” “competitor,” and “cooperation,” and some choices communicate relevant ideas. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “helps,” “advantages,” and “skills,” while several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make meaning less clear. Examples include “more weightage,” “cooperateness,” “bench parter,” and “live in entire world.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “competative,” “competitiions,” and “realtions,” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of collocations for discussing benefits and drawbacks, and check spelling and word forms carefully so your ideas are easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if,” and “however,” but complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur repeatedly: “some individuals thinks,” “competitions helps,” and “people who lose … get demotivates.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic, as in “it is most debatable topic” and the run-on sequence beginning “if a student win that quiz.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase and commas or full stops missing. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and past-tense forms, then separate each main idea into a complete sentence. This will make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
