Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You express a clear preference for cooperation, explaining that teamwork allows people to share ideas and divide tasks, and you begin to recognise that competition can motivate people to make greater efforts. These points are relevant, but the response addresses the two views only partially: the discussion of competition is brief and unfinished, and neither side is supported with a specific example or developed explanation. The opening also paraphrases the topic awkwardly rather than setting out the two positions clearly. The response is 175 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum; this limits how fully you can discuss both views and support your opinion. Develop each side in a separate paragraph and finish with a clear conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you state your preference for cooperation, then introduce competition with “While”. This gives the reader some sense of the intended structure. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the cooperation paragraph contains many ideas joined into one long sequence, and the final paragraph stops mid-sentence at “competition motivate peop”. Linking is limited and sometimes unclear; for example, “because” is repeated to connect several different claims. Use distinct paragraphs for the introduction, each viewpoint, and the conclusion. Within paragraphs, present one main idea at a time and use clear links such as “For example” or “In contrast” to show how the points relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “cooperating”, “jealousy”, “share ideas”, “team” and “challenging”. This gives you a basic range for expressing your main position. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and several phrases are not natural in this context, such as “competition gives a birth to jealousy”, “gives very knowledge” and “a budden”. Spelling errors such as “benificial”, “diiferent” and “acheive” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the benefits and drawbacks of competition and cooperation without repeating general words such as “good” and “better”.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas using clauses with “because” and “which”, and you use some simple sentence forms to communicate your opinion. However, the range is limited, and attempts to build longer sentences often lead to errors that make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “we shares ideas”, “Working as team can helps you” and “competition have also positive impact”; these show problems with subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms. The long sentence beginning “Well i think” also needs clearer sentence boundaries and punctuation. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas accurately. Check agreement, articles and verb forms when proofreading.
