Student answer (Band 4.5)
some people think that competition at work at school and daily life is a good thing. I parlty agree with this view because if you work hard , ,dadication thren you can competite yourself with others. just because you gave your time to your work so finally you compare yourself for those peoples who does not work. In school if you get good grade in study you compare yourself students who does not study well and could not achieve good marks in exam. In work if you give time you job and sincere with your job and do well those whose dont no how to do work how to manage things properly then you competite yourself with other peoples. In daily life if you serious with your goals and your future and you achieve that so you can compare youself with others just because you worked doest not means you should look down others. and you cannot say you are the only one ho can do it. and one can do it. Please refrain this attitude. and those who thinks we should try to cooperate more rather than competing aganist each other. This is very good if someone think like that because mostly people belong to low background and cannot afford work, school, and daily life routine. for instance those children who belong poor family cannot afford high school fees and miss valuable opprotunities. Form my point of view i agree with those people who believe on we should try to cooperate more comparing wit others . In addition usually people blame other you could not do I am the only ho can do it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both sides of the question and state a preference for cooperation: “I agree with those people who believe… we should try to cooperate more.” You also give examples involving students and children from poor families, so the response is relevant. However, the discussion of competition mostly repeats the idea that people who work hard can compare themselves with those who do not, rather than explaining clearly how competition benefits people or when it may be harmful. The cooperation argument is also only briefly developed, and the final point about people blaming others is unclear. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a specific reason and example, then make your own position consistent and explicit throughout. The 19 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a recognisable movement from competition, to cooperation, and then to your opinion, and phrases such as “for instance” and “from my point of view” signal examples and stance. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the two views and your conclusion are not clearly separated. Ideas often run together, especially in the opening discussion of work, school, and daily life, and repeated use of “and” makes relationships between points difficult to follow. Some references are also unclear, such as “those whose dont no how to do work.” Use separate paragraphs for each view and your opinion, and connect each example directly to the point it supports. This would create clearer progression and reduce repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cooperate,” “competition,” “opportunities,” and “background,” and you attempt to discuss several settings. However, much of the wording is basic or repeated, particularly “compare yourself with others” and “give time,” which limits precision. Several spelling and word-form errors, such as “parlty,” “competite,” “opprotunities,” and “peoples,” make the writing less clear and weaken control of vocabulary. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “believe on” and “miss valuable opportunities.” Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe how people “measure their progress” or “work collaboratively” rather than repeatedly comparing themselves.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and conditions, for example with “because” and “if,” but most sentences rely on simple patterns or become long, loosely connected strings of clauses. Errors in sentence structure and verb forms are frequent: “if you get good grade in study you compare yourself students” lacks clear grammatical links, while “those who thinks” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistently controlled, as in “give time you job” and the repeated comma and full-stop problems. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise writing shorter complete sentences first, then combine them using accurate subordinate clauses, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
