Student answer (Band 5.5)

A few people think that opposition at work, at school and in every day life is a good thing. At the same time others belived to be more support should be given rather than competing aganist each other. At my point, competition bring individual capapbility and work towards goals. However, cooperation allows to collective growth and maintain healthy relation at work place.

Competition at schools allow kids to bring their individual capability. Keeping a target and making them to reach in competitive manner helps the chikdren to bring their talent. For example, A topper student competete with other school students to secure top in city. Allowing an opposition make every student to bring their strengths. Also, competition at workplace make employee to increase his efforts to attain target. Setting target to employees will make them to work hard to reach target. Employees of google are awarded with incentives which builds competion to work in between employees.

Rest belived to cooperate more rather than competition. Cooperation at workplace bring them to work for a collective goal. For completion of a projects various employees need to be connected. To complete the project within a stipulated time everyone must work for it. This way cooperation can bring each individual work for a single goal. In this process a healthy relation among employees build that directly contributes to company growth.

In my view, competition increases the individual capability, strengthen our goals and increase efforts at workplace. Although cooperation is required to work collectively but i strongly suggest having a competition at various situations can shapen every individuals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for competition, while acknowledging that cooperation is needed for shared work. The examples of students aiming for top results and employees working towards targets are relevant, as is the project example illustrating cooperation. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits of competition receive more explanation, while the cooperation paragraph mainly describes how employees coordinate and asserts that this supports company growth. Your opinion that competition can “shapen every individuals” is also not fully qualified, despite recognising cooperation’s role. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely when cooperation is more effective and develop your final position with a reasoned comparison of the two approaches.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on competition, one on cooperation, and a concluding opinion. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. You also use basic signposting such as “For example,” “Also,” and “In my view.” However, some links feel mechanical or unclear. “Rest belived to cooperate more” does not clearly identify the people holding that view, and “For completion of a projects” begins a point without a smooth connection to the preceding sentence. Repetition of “competition,” “target,” and “work” also limits flow. Use clearer references to the opposing view and connect examples explicitly to the point they support; vary transitions while keeping the paragraph progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “individual capability,” “collective goal,” “incentives,” and “stipulated time.” These choices show an attempt to discuss workplace and educational contexts. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. “Opposition” is not the natural term for competition in this context, and phrases such as “bring their individual capability” and “builds competion to work” are unclear or unnatural. There are also spelling errors, including “belived,” “aganist,” and “capapbility.” Build a bank of accurate collocations for discussing competition and cooperation, and proofread spelling and word forms so your meaning is expressed more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “To complete the project within a stipulated time everyone must work for it” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “Competition at schools allow” and “cooperation … bring,” while articles and plurals are problematic in “completion of a projects.” The final sentence, “Although cooperation is required … but i strongly suggest,” combines two contrasting structures incorrectly. There are also errors in possessives and sentence punctuation. Review agreement, article use, and how to form contrast clauses; then check each sentence for a complete, grammatically consistent structure.
