Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, competition increased in every field of life. Specially in school pupil challenging with each other in games, some time in studies. And most of the adult men and women are tough to each other on certain topic or any king of work as well. I totally believe that accepting challengings and tough are crucial to prove our self more confidance. It leave anxiety and give a very strong believe on our self.

On the one hand, Competitions are common in shools, and at work as well. Without taxing we are unable to do anything on time and we are unable to know where we are standing right now. We got a great aim in our life with competition. For example, in school teacher or principal announce that, in annaul result the highest percentage of student get some special gift from school or from any specific teacher. As a result, all learner do hard work to achive gift from presenter. While, if we talk about offices, all woker need good bonces from their owners. For good bonces, they all work hard to achive more better then others.

On the other hand, sometime adults and childrens are doing bad things to win. like, they cheat with against competitor and some time they do exteme level of accident just for win. We should want to coorperate if other candidate is more needy to win competition.

In conclusion, Competitions are very necessary in life. It provide more confidance and energy to stay with hardwork.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a clear preference for competition, especially in the opening and conclusion, and you give relevant examples from schools and workplaces, such as rewards for high marks and bonuses for employees. However, the discussion of cooperation is much less developed: you mainly say people should cooperate when another candidate is more needy, without explaining how cooperation benefits groups or daily life. The position also becomes unclear when you acknowledge harmful behaviour but do not explain how this affects your overall view. To strengthen the response, discuss both perspectives more evenly, explain the reasons behind each, and state a consistent opinion—for example, that competition can motivate people when balanced by cooperation and fair play. The ideas are relevant but remain limited and under-supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and the second body paragraph is brief compared with the first. Some links are mechanical or imprecise, such as “As a result” followed by a result that is not fully explained, and “While, if we talk about offices” does not connect smoothly to the school example. The conclusion repeats the preference for competition rather than drawing together the discussion. Use clearer links between claims and examples, develop the cooperation paragraph, and make references between sentences more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “challenging,” “competitor,” “cooperate,” and “hard work,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “accepting challengings and tough” and “leave anxiety” do not express the intended ideas clearly, while “good bonces” appears to mean bonuses. Spelling errors such as “shools,” “annaul,” “achive,” and “coorperate” are also noticeable. Build a more accurate set of phrases for motivation, teamwork, and unfair behaviour, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your examples and opinion easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “if we talk about offices” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “Nowadays, competition increased,” where the tense is not appropriate, and “It leave anxiety and give,” where the subject and verbs do not agree. Sentence fragments such as “Specially in school pupil challenging with each other” also lack a complete grammatical structure. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense, agreement, articles, and plural forms. Accurate basic sentences will help you express the more complex comparisons you are attempting.
