Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides by mentioning the benefits of competition, such as improving confidence and generating ideas, and the benefits of cooperation, including reduced stress and more time with family. Your conclusion also gives a clear preference for competition. However, the discussion is only partial: the cooperation side is not explained as cooperation at work or school, and several points are asserted rather than supported with reasons or examples. The opening reference to “status about finance” is unclear, and the final point about people who feel they have enough money is difficult to connect to the question. Develop fewer relevant ideas more fully, explain how they affect people, and support them with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “To Conclude” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the discussion shifts between competition, comparing lifestyles, stress, family time and business growth without a clear structure for the two opposing views. Some links are also confusing, as in “If people not compare their lifestyle with other they have no worry about it,” which does not clearly connect to the preceding point about competition. Organise the body into one paragraph for competition and one for cooperation, and use clear topic sentences and references to make each point’s relationship explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “analytical thinking,” “creative ideas,” “problem solver” and “well-organized.” These choices show some effort to express different benefits of competition and cooperation. However, the range is limited and several word combinations or forms are unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning hard to understand. For example, “develop our status about finance,” “support to each other” and “expansion of opportunities towards money making” do not express the intended ideas clearly. Repeated use of “compare” and “competition” also limits precision. Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check collocations, such as how verbs combine with “competition,” “cooperation” and “opportunities.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and conditional structures, including “If you do your work…” and “Although, others prefer…,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “it will less stressful,” “if you comparing with anyone,” “the people who feels,” and “when you not compare.” Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical structure, such as “There are enjoyable life to have free time.” Practise forming complete clauses with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and punctuate dependent clauses carefully. More reliable simple sentences would help before adding complex structures.
