Student answer (Band 5.5)
it is argued that competition at workplace, educational institutes and in rugular on daily life is benficial while others believe that we should try to cooperate each other rather than starting a battle against each other. In my opinion, cooperate with each other make more sense of passionate and inspiration with your oponent as it develops the strong relation and bonding with each other.
In competition, people tend to part in race to gain more grades in education while in the cooperate level they just do for bonus and incentives. They have focus on specific goals and try to compete with your opponent and gain reward.competition makes more spirit to achieve positons because you have specific alighnment for your goals. For instance, Apple company has a strong competion with samsung company for past 2 decades and every year they just update its previous model with innovative integrations to gain customer reach in the competition. Therefore, they can sustainable your market presence with these innovative idea that is distinct than competitors.
However, cooperation plays a vital role by buid strong relationship with your oponent that is beneficial for overall environemnt and tends to motivate by their loving nature.Due to this they shows the sportsman ship behaviour though they disscussed our policies and achieve their positions in the coperate with no battle just showing the bonds and combine progress. For example , in the pakistan and india match they both try to win but some acts showing sportsman ship behaviour just create the bond of two countries.Consequently, they makes feel satisfaction and try to stronger relationship instead of feeling jealousy for other competitor.
In conclusion, although competitions provide sense of achieving goals in rapid way,i believe that cooperation is more significant to achive same thing and makes your relation more stronger and environemnt fresh

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for cooperation in the introduction and conclusion. The competition paragraph gives a relevant example of Apple and Samsung, explaining how rivalry can encourage innovation and help companies maintain their market presence. The cooperation paragraph also offers a sportsmanship example. However, some points are unclear or not fully developed: the contrast between people competing for grades and cooperating for bonuses is asserted without explanation, and the Pakistan–India example does not clearly show how cooperation operates in everyday life. To strengthen the response, explain each example’s connection to the argument and develop your reasons for preferring cooperation more precisely. The eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted in the reported total.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow at a broad level, and transitions such as “However” and “In conclusion” signal changes in direction. Cohesion is less successful within paragraphs, where ideas sometimes run together or their relationships are unclear. For example, the shift from grades to bonuses in the competition paragraph is not explained, while “Due to this” does not clearly identify what it refers to in the cooperation paragraph. Some linking expressions, including “Consequently,” are used mechanically. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example explicitly to its point, and make references such as “they” and “this” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “incentives,” “innovative integrations,” “sportsmanship,” and “competitors,” and these choices show an effort to discuss both workplace and social contexts. However, the range is uneven, and noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “rugular,” “benficial,” “alighnment,” and “environemnt,” as well as unnatural phrases such as “gain customer reach” and “stronger relationship.” Some key words, particularly “bond” and “competition,” are repeated. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, such as “gain market share” and “build strong relationships”; vary repeated terms where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “while” and a reason introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is often recoverable, but some sentence structures and agreement patterns are inaccurate, and punctuation is inconsistent. For example, “cooperate with each other make” needs a singular subject construction, while “they shows” and “they makes” do not agree in number. The sentence beginning “Due to this they shows” also combines clauses in a way that obscures the relationship between ideas. Commas are often missing after introductory phrases and around clause boundaries. Practise forming complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, checking subject–verb agreement, and punctuating longer sentences carefully.
