Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the current age, competition among the individuals has become an essential factor in the daily life. It is firmly, beleived that compition is an excel habit at work places, in daily routine and at learning places, while others contend that cooperation acts betterly as compare to compition. Although the sence of competion and cooperation effects differently, individuals should know the limitations of their behaviour, and they should also react arroding to the need. From my perspective, the sence of compition leads ones to success.
To commence with, the sence of competion plays a vital role in the character development. The sence of competion encourages the competors to try their best to get lead over the others, and it also facilitates them to get achive their goals by hard working. For instance, co-education encourages the pupils of both genders to work hard for earning name againt the opposite gender. Therefore, the sence competion in daily life is a good thing.
On contrast, cooperation plays a significant role in developing union of a nation. To explain, when the citizens work in a cooperative manner, it should asist in developing brother-hood amog them. Furthermore, the sence of cooperation also build a union among them. For example, when all the people cooperate with each other it will made their relations strong. Consequently, the outcomes of cooperation are considerable.
In a nutshell, eventhough both these habits have their different outcome, the only thing we need to get knowledge where we cooperate or where compete.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both competition and cooperation, and your position—that competition helps people succeed—is stated in the introduction. The paragraph on competition gives a reason (it encourages effort) and an example involving pupils, while the cooperation paragraph explains how working together can strengthen relationships. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the example about co-education is not clearly connected to achievement, and the cooperation section does not explain when cooperation may be more effective than competition. The conclusion also does not clearly restate your own view; it ends with a general point about knowing when to cooperate or compete. Develop each side with a more specific example and make your final position explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “Consequently” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some links do not make the relationship between ideas clear. For example, “On contrast” introduces the cooperation view, but the paragraph moves from national unity to stronger personal relations without explaining how these points connect. The conclusion is brief and does not clearly bring together the argument. Use more precise transitions and develop a clear sequence within each body paragraph: claim, explanation, and relevant example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “character development,” “cooperative manner,” and “significant role.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “sence of competion,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “excel habit,” “get lead over,” and “build a union.” Spelling errors—including “beleived,” “compition,” and “arroding”—are also noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Aim to use a smaller number of topic-specific expressions accurately rather than repeating the same phrase. Check spelling carefully and learn common combinations such as “gain an advantage,” “achieve a goal,” and “foster unity.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession structure beginning “Although” and clauses introduced by “when” and “while.” This shows an attempt to vary sentence patterns. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “cooperation also build a union” needs subject–verb agreement, while “it will made their relations strong” has an incorrect verb form. The opening sentence also has an unclear construction around “It is firmly believed.” These errors can make some relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise checking each sentence’s subject and verb, and use complex structures only when you can control their grammar.
