Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is argued by many that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good things. However, there are also some believe that individuals should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. This will discuss both perspectives and explain why I believe in cooperate more, rather than competing each other.
To begin, competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. some people consider competition as a opportunity to make our self better than others. Since, to get good jobs and better score people need to practice a lot and every where people wants to work with best one and chosen people from crowd. However, it can be a major problem having competition in daily life makes people stress full and not enough while putting all efforts. Therefore, this will make things exacerbate. Competition also easy way to find people who are capable for the things.
Another important point to consider is that some people contend at more cooperating instead of competing against each other. In particular, cooperating with each other at work, school and in daily life bring about significant changes. In light of the fact that working something together or in group will be positive consequence. Furthermore, flexibility and good interact between people play vital role in daily life.
In conclusion, I firmly consider that people should cooperate more than going against each other will be more beneficial and every one should be equally evaluate for their contribution for work and education in daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a preference for cooperation, so the response is relevant to the task. However, the reasons are brief and often unclear: competition is said to help people improve and identify capable workers, while cooperation is linked to positive changes and flexibility, but these points are not explained with specific examples. The conclusion repeats your preference without developing it further. The response also contains 220 words, below the required 250; the 37 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. To strengthen the response, explain how each benefit works and support your opinion with a concrete example, while ensuring the essay meets the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “To begin,” “Another important point,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the move from competition causing stress to “this will make things exacerbate” does not clearly explain the consequence, while “In light of the fact that” introduces an incomplete or confusing connection. The introduction also promises to discuss both views, but the body points are not developed enough to create a sustained argument. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and connect each supporting sentence directly to its main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “contribution,” and “flexibility,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “contend” and “significant changes.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “a good things,” “make our self better,” “stress full,” and “good interact.” “Contend at more cooperating” is also not a natural way to express the idea. These issues fit a response where vocabulary is minimally adequate but noticeable errors affect clarity. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations, and check word forms, spelling, and whether phrases sound natural in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause beginning “Since” and a sentence starting “In light of the fact that.” However, these attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “there are also some believe” has an incorrect verb pattern, “people wants” has subject–verb disagreement, and “cooperating … bring about” does not agree with its subject. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a opportunity” and the fragment beginning “Since.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Proofread for agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation.
