Student answer (Band 5.5)
Certain individuals believe that competition in regular life , in school and in office place is a good thing whereas, others state that it will give negative result and rather than fighting, people need to support each other. Therefore, prior to my decision, both view are reviewed in the following paragraphs.
Discussing the foremost view, the foremost argument put forward by supporters is that battles are good way to find out ability of persons and to develop their knowledge or skill. If there was an competition at workplace then it will be helpful for their works and to divert their mind from stress and tenison. Although, sometime matches are also stressful, it can improve or develop minds to work much better. For instance, in travel companies, if they have contest between employees of asking them about questions related to countries, visa and passport then it will increase their knowledge and information. So, it will give overall positive conclusion which is development of their brain and skills.
On the contrary, the proponents of the latter notion advocate that it is waste of their perious time because they will focus on battle more then work. Employees and employers who take this competition as a challenge then it might turn out negative like they may start fight with each other or maybe match will weaken their bond. Many people believe that people should cooperate more rather then being a competitors. For example, if everyone support others and not have any personal problem by these matches then environment will be more friendly at work or at school. So, instead of games, they need to focus on cooperating to each otehr.
To conclude and offer my opinion, I would firmly bolster first view rather than second view because it will help people to develop and increase their personality.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both sides of the question and state a clear preference for competition in the conclusion. The workplace examples—such as a quiz about countries, visas and passports—are relevant and help explain how competition might build knowledge. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that competition can divert employees from stress is not explained, and the opposing view is presented mainly as a risk of arguments or weaker relationships. Your opinion that competition develops “personality” is also asserted rather than supported, and the essay does not clearly distinguish healthy competition from excessive rivalry. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation and make your final position more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the contrary” and “To conclude” help signal the direction of the discussion, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant arguments. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “So” sentences that announce a result without clearly showing how it follows. The opening phrase “prior to my decision” also delays the position rather than introducing the discussion naturally. Some references are unclear, as in “it will give negative result” and “these matches.” Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph develop one central idea in a clear sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “challenge,” “employees,” and “environment,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “proponents of the latter notion,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and limit precision. “Battles” and “matches” are used for workplace competition, while “office place” and “positive conclusion” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “tenison,” “perious,” and “otehr” are noticeable, and phrases such as “support each other” are repeated. Build a more reliable range of collocations for discussing rivalry, teamwork and outcomes, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If there was a competition at workplace” and a contrast clause beginning “Although.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “both view are reviewed,” “If there was an competition,” and “Employees and employers who take this competition as a challenge then it might turn out negative,” where agreement, articles or sentence construction need attention. Some clauses are joined awkwardly, and punctuation around introductory phrases and conjunctions is unreliable. Practise building accurate conditional and contrast sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and separating complete clauses with appropriate punctuation.
