Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is widely beleived that competition between people in different places like in work, school and in other common things in life is an nice thing. I think competition will help to find "best out of one" . Few other people think that working as a team and helping each others more than competing against each other. If it is about cooperation this will allow the whole team to grow and make more success.

The main reason for competition between people causing to get sucsess in individual developments. This means by obeserving one member who is an competitor can help them to improve in skills. For instance, In school where their an all time topper in every exam but in one exam their is a competitor score better then which help the topper should increase in the efforts he keep. Consequently, every where the competition may not help in the success some patience.

A part from this trying to be in coordination and cooperation needed to be their between people. This will be benefical for team works and useful in the place where the people are not able to do things taking advise from others can give better success than the individuals. For example, In an cooperate companies the whole team needed to work together to get success in the project. If a person stuck in one place then this cooperation help them. So their should be some amount of team work to get success.

In conclusion, the above to ideas have its own positives and negatives. compeyitions are help in sum extent of picking one out. Similarly the cooperation also needed to grow and get hands over the success.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both competition and cooperation and give a general view that each has benefits, supported by examples from school and a company. However, the position is not fully clear: the introduction says competition helps people find the “best,” while the conclusion mainly says both approaches have positives and negatives without stating which you favour or when each is preferable. Some ideas are relevant but under-developed. For example, the school example explains how a rival may motivate a top student, but the point that competition may not help “in the success some patience” is unclear. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and make your own opinion explicit throughout, rather than leaving it mainly implied.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on competition and cooperation, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement, and examples are placed with the relevant viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the competition example, where the relationship between the topper, the competitor, and increased effort is not expressed clearly. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not show the intended relationship, such as “A part from this” and “Consequently.” Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as in “this cooperation help them.” Use more precise links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph develops one main point in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “competition,” “cooperation,” “individual developments,” “coordination,” and “team work,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “find best out of one,” “get hands over the success,” and “some patience” do not communicate your intended meaning naturally. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “beleived,” “sucsess,” and “benefical.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully; choosing familiar, precise expressions is more effective than attempting combinations that are not idiomatic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “where,” “if,” and “which,” and the overall meaning can often be followed. However, complex structures are frequently faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes obscure relationships between ideas. For example, “Few other people think that working as a team…” is not a complete, well-formed contrast, while “the whole team needed to work together” does not fit the general present-tense argument. In the school example, “their an all time topper” and “which help the topper should increase” make the meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, and check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries.
