Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued whether race at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing while, Other people believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. However, I personally, contend that competition is necessary for citizens to become successfull in profeessional and personal life.

On the one hand, some individuals think that we should try to collaborative in office, college and in everyday life. To elaborate, if citizenry become helpful in they can solve their predicaments with the help of others. For instance, in some universities youngsters and teachers are very supportive such as IUB bwp campus in this institute people are very friendly. Furthermore, it is crucial for students not for instructors because they have to complete different tasks.

On the other hand, some demographics argue that rivalry at work, study and in daily life is a good thing because of convience and sense of timeline. To illustrate my meaning, if learner know that he have to do homework in time and also before other classmates. A prime example of this is that, an international research indicate that time table is important in every aspect of life, Elon Musk founfer of Tesla says ' give you a timline and done your work before time.

In conclusion, although the advantage of collabrotion is very much such as problem solving with the help of other fellows. However I firmly believe that competition in work, graduation and life is vital.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You present a clear overall opinion that competition is necessary, and you include a paragraph for each view. However, the discussion is only partial: cooperation is linked to solving problems, while competition is linked to completing work on time, but neither point is explained in enough detail to show its wider value or limitations. The examples are also unclear or insufficiently connected to the claims, particularly the reference to IUB and the research and Elon Musk quotation. The response contains 213 words, below the required 250; the 34 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each side with a clear reason and a specific, relevant example, then explain how these support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These signposts help readers identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “Furthermore, it is crucial for students not for instructors” does not clearly follow from the point about support, while “because of convience and sense of timeline” does not establish a clear relationship between competition and the stated benefits. The conclusion repeats the opinion without drawing the discussion together. Use a clearer sequence—claim, explanation, example—and make references and linking phrases precise rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “cooperate,” “predicaments,” “supportive,” and “rivalry,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of each paragraph. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. “Race” is not an appropriate substitute for competition here, and phrases such as “sense of timeline” and “in office, college” are unclear or unnatural. Spelling errors, including “successfull,” “profeessional,” and “collabrotion,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations such as “work together to solve problems” and “meet deadlines,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer structures, including “although” and “if” clauses. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “if citizenry become helpful in they can solve” and “if learner know that he have to do homework,” where clause structure, agreement, and verb forms are not controlled. The opening also has awkward punctuation and sentence construction, while “although … However” creates an incorrect contrast pattern. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to understand. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed subordinate clause, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
