Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe about competition at work, at school and in daily life is essential, while others believe on cooperating with each other is more suitable option. In our society, everyone have a different mindset and own personal aspects. The value of competition at job, during study and in our routine lives is significant, whereas, if there is no competition then people will no longer take anything serious. On the other hand, sometimes due to competition even deserving canidates don't get a chance to achieve what they are desire for.
The battle between colleagues, pupils and siblings or parents at home to became more successful is key to success in many ways. For certain, if canidates get some competition from others they will do more efforts. This will increase productivity at any level such as at job, at educational institutes, at home or in our social sitting. Everyone can get more interest in working or studying and thats leads to batter results. Subsequently, the people believe and support this aruguments are correct in many ways as i explained above. Furthemore, they think if their is no competition then how they will seperate the hardworkers and lazzy people. This is the only way to identify.
The people believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other are also on right path due to several problems. The people behaive more aggressively with their team, with fellows or in family and friend circuls just because they want to get more appericiation from boss, teacher or from family and friends. This will hurt others as well they also tretaed them in same way. So in this condition productivity levelled off sharply and also new problems produced. This is the major reason why some people think we should cooperate each other and support them in their hard time rather then leg pullimg.
From my perspective, both believes are correct in my way of thinking. The best thing i want is to impliment both things at same time will increase in results and also everyone will live with each other normally. Due to this they will support each others and also their mind will be on work or study rather then keeping an on other work. Everyone will get fair chance to compete to and no place for lazzy people. The hardworking will get their reward and also the person not able to compete with other learn from the person got success.
Overall, it is seen that the more we engaged with our team or with our fellow or with our friends, this will not help to boost our own productivity, way of thinking but also helps others too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both competition and cooperation and give a personal view, so the response covers the main parts of the task. The competition paragraph explains that rivalry can encourage effort and help distinguish hard-working people, while the cooperation paragraph describes aggression and its effects on others. Your position—that both approaches can be combined—is present, especially in “both believes are correct,” but it is not fully clear how to balance them in practice. Some points are asserted rather than developed: for example, the claim that competition is “the only way” to identify hard workers needs qualification or an example. To strengthen the response, explain your combined approach more precisely and support key claims with a relevant, specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion broadly easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “Subsequently,” and “From my perspective.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, and ideas within paragraphs sometimes jump. For instance, the competition paragraph moves from productivity to identifying “hardworkers” without clearly explaining the link. The final paragraph also repeats the idea of engaging with others rather than adding a distinct concluding insight. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each explanation directly to its main claim, and make references such as “this” and “they” more specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “productivity,” “aggressively,” “deserving candidates,” and “fair chance,” and you express both positive and negative effects of competition. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “work,” and “competition,” while several inaccurate choices or spellings make the writing less natural. Examples include “social sitting” for a social setting, “leg pulling” for undermining others, and “batter results” for better results. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more precise set of topic-related collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will help you express your ideas more clearly and flexibly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if there is no competition then people will no longer take anything serious” and cause-and-effect clauses. Meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “everyone have” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “the person not able to compete with other learn” has problems with clause structure and agreement. In the opening, “Some people believe about … is essential” is not a complete, well-formed construction. Practise building accurate sentences with “believe that,” checking agreement and articles, and separating long sentences when their structure becomes difficult to control.
