Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that competition at work, at school and in daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to cooperate more, rather than competing against each other. In this eassy i will explain my viewpoints.
On the one hand, there are some compelling reasons why some people support that competition in daily life is a good thing. One of the primary reason is competition helps to prove ability of how they are you capable. For example, when any school organized the competition for their students, and students are exsited to participated for competition. In competition everyone wants to win their competition, but just a single person or team win competition. For these reasons many people believe that competition is more effective approach.
On the others hand, others believe that we should try to cooperate with each other is a better opition. Because mutual understanding helps to make work and school more easier. For instance, when a person work in office and manage one or more projects its very difficult to manage alone. In this situation, if they add more people's in his work, they complete project easy with more efficiency. In addition, same as school students study alone sometimes its helpfull but most of the time they facing differernt challanges. Although some students are intelligents, they work alone easily, but in group they are more effected. Consequently, supporters maintain that cooperative with each others is more beneficial and practical.
In conclusion, both viewpoints have their own merits. While competition may be approperiate in certain circumstances, i believe that cooprtative with each other is more effective for individuals and society. Because its helps to ehnace quality of work and conneted people each others.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both sides and give a clear preference for cooperation in the conclusion, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The competition paragraph offers a relevant point about demonstrating ability and gives a school-competition example; the cooperation paragraph explains how sharing work can make projects more manageable. However, these ideas remain limited and are not fully developed: the competition example does not explain what benefits winning or taking part brings, while the cooperation discussion becomes unclear when describing students working alone versus in groups. Develop each point with a clearer explanation and a specific outcome, and state your position more directly in the introduction.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Although some students are intelligents, they work alone easily, but in group they are more effected” does not clearly connect to the preceding point about challenges. The conclusion also introduces claims about improving work quality and connecting people without developing them earlier. Use clearer references and build each paragraph around one main idea, followed by explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “mutual understanding,” “efficiency,” and “beneficial,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make expression awkward or occasionally difficult to follow. Examples include “prove ability,” “more easier,” “cooperative with each others,” and “conneted people each others.” Spelling errors such as “eassy,” “exsited,” and “approperiate” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing teamwork and competition, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Aim for natural combinations such as “demonstrate one’s abilities” and “work more efficiently.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession with “Although” and a conditional structure beginning “if they add more people's in his work.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “One of the primary reason is competition helps” needs a plural noun and a clearer clause structure; “when a person work in office” has agreement and article problems; and “Because its helps” is not a complete sentence and uses an incorrect subject form. Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns before adding more complex clauses.
