Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people argue that competition should be there at school, at work or in daily life as it's a good thing to do. Competition create some sort of excitement and enthusiasm to over power others. This is quite good for students of all ages at school as it create zealous sense to outperform in academic, curricular as well as extracurricular activities. At workplace, employers sould offer a reward for the best worker of the year or as so, emolyees willingly work harder to defeat others and perform deligently for personal as well as organizational benefits. Individuals argue it should also be practisized in daily life rather occaasionally.
From my perspective, I agree for some extent that competition should be there at work and at school among employees and students. It generate sort of cognitive intuitional thinkings instead of stereotypical work. I disagree for the competition in daily life as it would lead towards the jealousy among people. Competition should be in positive ways to reward and bonify any person's life and organization rather comparing personal life with others is not a good to do.
Conclusively, Competition and co-operation should be aligned together in a way that individuals healp each other to reach at a certain destination rather letting down reciprocally. Both ha sundeniable role in motivating people to excel in their fields and strengthen the infrastructure. Competition should be favoured for personal growth and motivation while co-operation would be fruitful for sustainable environment and to promote the collaborations among individuals either at workplace, school or in daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both competition and cooperation and state a qualified position: competition is useful at school and work, but less desirable in daily life. Relevant examples include rewarding a “best worker of the year” and the risk of jealousy when people compare personal lives. However, the two views are not explored equally: the benefits of cooperation are mostly asserted in the conclusion, with little explanation or a concrete example. Some points about competition, such as its effect on students’ academic and extracurricular performance, are also introduced but not developed. To strengthen the response, explain how cooperation benefits people in a specific setting and support each main claim with a clearer example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable progression from the case for competition, to your own view, and then to a conclusion that brings the two ideas together. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “From my perspective” and “Conclusively” signal the direction of the argument. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. However, some links between ideas are abrupt: the first paragraph moves from school to work and then daily life without developing a clear comparison, while the second shifts quickly from cognitive benefits to jealousy. The conclusion repeats broad claims rather than synthesising the earlier reasoning. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “outperform,” “organizational benefits,” “stereotypical,” and “sustainable environment.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic terms. However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the argument difficult to interpret, such as “zealous sense,” “cognitive intuitional thinkings,” and “bonify any person's life.” Spelling errors, including “emolyees” and “deligently,” also reduce control. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than unusually complex wording: for example, describe competition as “motivating people to improve” and cooperation as “building a supportive environment.” Proofreading for spelling and word forms would make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including the contrast in “I agree for some extent … I disagree for the competition in daily life.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. Subject–verb agreement is inaccurate in “Competition create” and “It generate,” and articles or prepositions are missing or incorrect in phrases such as “at workplace” and “reach at a certain destination.” The sentence beginning “Competition should be in positive ways” also has an unclear structure. Work on agreement, article use, and sentence boundaries, then check each longer sentence for a clear subject and verb. More accurate control of these patterns would improve readability.
