Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's competative world, Competition at work, School or in daily life is a good thing but some believe that we should try to cooperate more , rather than competing against each other. I will discuss both views and give my opinion in end.
There are so much advantage of competition at work, at school and in daily life because it help to improve our capability and help to learn new things. but it can be rather time taking at first but once you get use to it feel so amazing and you can apply for a raise in job. In school competition can help you to improve your score in your subject you have a goal to achive or to win against someone. In daily life it help to improve your daily habbit and help's you to grow on daily bases and help's you to achieve you goal faster. like my teacher give me an assiment making an coding program so that time time I have to learn 3 different languageto complete that code.
On the other hand, we should also try to cooperate more because it also have its own adventage like you can experience new thing, new skills, new problem solving solution and etc. The major one advantage is that the work can be complete early than expected because their is a lot of people to work at a part at a time. If we try to cooperate more there are some chance you an learn new things and you don't have to take stress of work when you are doing it in a group. like my teacher give me an assiment to do in a group and it was easy to do in a group rather than doing it alone.
In my opinion, doing work in group is more affected rather than doing it alone you have better opportunity to grow and learn new things in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both competition and cooperation and give a clear preference for group work in the final paragraph. Relevant examples, such as learning programming languages for an assignment and completing a group task more easily, help connect your ideas to experience. However, the discussion is uneven: the benefits of competition receive several claims, while cooperation is explained mainly through finishing work sooner and learning skills. Some points, such as competition helping people “grow” or achieve goals faster, are asserted rather than explained. The opening says you will give your opinion “in end,” but your position becomes clear only in the conclusion. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or example, and state your view earlier and consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on competition, a paragraph on cooperation, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the shift between the two views, and the examples generally follow the points they illustrate. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, repetitive sequences with repeated “and help to.” The phrase “like my teacher…” appears in both body paragraphs, and the conclusion adds little beyond repeating the preference for group work. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct reasons, and make links between claims and examples more explicit. This would make the organisation more controlled rather than relying mainly on basic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “competition,” “cooperate,” “capability,” “problem solving,” and “opportunity.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “help,” “new things,” “grow,” and “work.” Noticeable spelling errors include “competative,” “achive,” “habbit,” and “assiment,” while some choices are unnatural or unclear, such as “time taking,” “daily bases,” and “doing work in group is more affected.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more precise range of collocations for discussing performance and teamwork, and proofread spelling and word forms. For example, describe work as “completed efficiently” rather than “complete early.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because” and “when,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in examples such as “it help to improve” and “it also have its own,” while “there are some chance” shows a problem with number agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries are also unreliable: “In my opinion, doing work in group…” needs more accurate article use, and several sentences begin with lowercase “but” or “like” after a full stop. Some long sentences combine multiple ideas without clear punctuation, which can make relationships harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, then use complex clauses only when you can control them.
