Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You identify the topic and attempt to discuss cooperation and competition, but the two views are not clearly or accurately developed. The first body paragraph gives relevant points about helping junior colleagues and maintaining good relationships, yet it does not explain how cooperation benefits people at school or in daily life. The second paragraph is especially unclear: it begins by saying people should cooperate, then describes selfishness and concludes that people should seek success, so the view being discussed is difficult to follow. Your own opinion is not stated in the unfinished conclusion, “from my prospective.” The response also falls 34 words short of the required minimum. To improve, explain both sides distinctly, support each with a specific example, and state your position clearly in a complete conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt at an overall essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “to begin with,” “furthermore” and “in conclusion.” However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow because ideas are often listed without showing how they connect. For example, the second body paragraph shifts from cooperation to “negative habits,” selfishness and then achieving a higher position, without a clear link between these points. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, and the conclusion stops before completing the argument. Organise each paragraph around one clear view, use linking words only where they express a genuine relationship, and finish with a concise summary of your opinion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “responsibility,” “colleagues,” “communication,” “selfish” and “hard work,” which shows an attempt to discuss workplace and social relationships. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are frequent enough to make several phrases difficult to understand, such as “compition,” “coopertare,” “ret to coopertare” and “negative impact on repotion.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “support to each others” and “achieved higher position in the life.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases, such as “compete with others,” “support one another” and “achieve a higher position.” This will make your ideas clearer and allow your vocabulary to serve the argument more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can identify the broad topic in much of the response. However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent. The opening sentence, “in recent year, the compition is in every field,” has problems with number, tense and sentence formation, while “people should keep good relation with all collegues. and support to each oithers” contains an incomplete sentence and faulty coordination. Articles, plurals and verb forms are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “cooperate in their work and school” and “there are negative impact.” Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, check agreement and articles, and practise joining related ideas with accurate conjunctions. More reliable sentence control is needed before attempting longer structures.
