Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many individuals believe that competing with others in offices, schools and in regular life is right, while other believe that we have to try to be more coopretive instead of comparing each others. I strongly believe that competion is necessary for individual growth and it encourages people to work hard. This essay will discuss both the views before giving my opinion in following paragraphs.
One of the main reason to believe that competing with other is necessary is that it motivate individuals to work hard to their personal growth. For example, two students from same school and class if they challenge each other that who will bring highest grade in this class eventually they both going to work hard for their exams. As a result, due to competition they both got good grades than previous year that means they both got growth in their studies.
On other hand people who believe that we should more cooperative in offices, schools and regular life, because cooperating with each other reduce the stress from individuals. For instances, four employees got a project and they have to work as team on that project as a result that project is going to complete with given time frame also stress is got divide into four peoples, so individual got high stress. But what happens sometimes, the dependecy comes on single person if others are not cooperating. Consequently, the group work done by single person and the work credits goes to all due to this the person who worked for that does not get credit deserve also that person loose motivation in this case.
In conclusion, although cooperating with other save our time of work but sometime it may cause a person to loose motivation too. I strongly believe that people should have healthy competition at offices, school and in regular life as it encourage person to grow individually.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for healthy competition in the introduction and conclusion. The student example explains how competing can encourage effort and improve results, while the workplace example considers cooperation and the risk of unequal contribution. These are relevant ideas, but they are not developed equally: the benefits of competition are explained more clearly than the benefits of cooperation, which are complicated by a shift to the problem of one person doing all the work. The conclusion briefly acknowledges cooperation but does not fully weigh its value against competition. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely when cooperation is beneficial and how healthy competition can coexist with it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The progression is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “On other hand” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the cooperation paragraph, “As a result” introduces a project being completed on time, but the following explanation about stress is confusing and appears to contradict the intended point. The long example also moves from teamwork to unfair credit without a clear transition. Use clearer sentence boundaries and make each paragraph’s central point explicit before developing its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “personal growth,” “cooperating,” “project,” “motivation,” and “healthy competition.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision, for example “coopretive,” “competion,” “got a project,” and “the work credits goes to all.” Some phrases are also awkward or unclear, such as “stress is got divide into four peoples.” These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main argument, but they make parts of the examples difficult to interpret. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and result structures, and the main ideas remain understandable. However, some sentence forms are faulty, particularly in the examples. For instance, “two students … if they challenge each other … eventually they both going to work hard” lacks a well-formed conditional structure, while “cooperating with each other reduce the stress” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “work as team” and the extended sentence beginning “For instances, four employees got a project.” Aim to control one main clause at a time, then add subordinate clauses accurately; review agreement, articles, and punctuation during proofreading.
